"There was no sneak or attempt to charge $95 for travel. All contractors add a monetary value for travel.This is nyc and the traffic/lack of driveways to park due cause some expense. So whether a contractor hides in the bulk price or separates it as a line item you are paying for travel. There was no sneak and never ever a ridiculous charge of $95.00 for travel...Our pricing is very simple: $125.00 for the first hour (covers travel) and $99.00 each additional hour for Time and Material service calls. Needed some outlets replaced to GFI units. Electrician did a fast & excellent job, however, when it came time for the billing, the guy in the office tried to sneak in a $95 "Travel fee" over the initial estimate and work starting time which I refused. Who charges a "travel fee" from Chelsea to the UWS??? They finally billed only the agreed upon hourly rate. EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH FOR THIS !

I called Matros the person on the phone was very nice. The electrician came in on the very same day of my call, he was a very nice guy. He explained everything to me and was very informative. He did not have some parts to complete the job at the moment but left everything in working order. The next day, again a very nice guy came over and completed the job. This is a GREAT place and I will be using them for all of my future electrial needs. I highly recommend them. JM, Office Manager

I'm glad I went with Matros as they delivered what they said, never told me anything that wasn't so, and did a good job. I will use them again, this time for my kitchen electrical work and I will recommend them to others.Price was competitive, reasonable. They hooked me up with a good painter. Great nice electrician, plus plenty of supervision from exec @ Headquaters who mixed common sense with good design sense.They do a lot of "hand holding" and education for someone who doesn't know a switch from a cable. Good for large job or small job like mine..

The service was excellent. The distributor shipped the wrong lamps and Matros installed others on temporary basis so that I wouldn't be without light. I am totally satisfied.
