Excellent job. Only thing I would suggest is they take a picture on their phone before moving furniture and pictures to middle of room so they can get them back to the place they got them from. Speedy and good job painting.

“Jose” is the best. They were on time did the job correctly and did it at the expected cost. Plus “Jose” is very friendly and very accommodating with everyone he meets.

This has been one of the most positive home improvement experiences we have ever had. Jose returned a message within an hour of my initial request. He came to do the estimate at my convenience, showed up right on time, and the price for the job was very fair. He could schedule the work quickly, came again right on time, went straight to work. He kept things clean as he worked, and put all the furniture back in place before he left. Jose and his helper did exactly what I asked, the walls look wonderful, and we are very pleased. I called two other contractors they never showed up, Jose showed up on Friday,gave me an estimate then came back on Monday morning and did job. He was very polite and professional,the repair looks great I would definitely call them again.

I hired Matthews Drywall to fix a hole in the ceiling from a light fixture, as well as matching texture there and in a few other places. When he initially came out he said he would have absolutely no problem matching the texture on my ceiling and it would take a full day to do the work. He came on Monday morning and started the repair. At about noon he called me and told me he was done. When I came home to check it out. He had not patched the hole in the middle of the ceiling but had attempted to texture the areas that did not match. I mentioned that he was not done because one of the main reasons I hired him was to fix the hole. He immediately got angry and instead of listening to my concerns started to patch the hole in the ceiling quickly and sloppily. I came back once he finished to mention my other concerns with his work. He said "what now!". I showed him my areas of concern, and again he sloppily and quickly through some texture up. He acted like he was in a hurry and couldn't wait to leave, so I asked if he would come back and fix these problems if they still looked bad once they dried. He assured me he would fix anything I wasn't happy with. So I let him leave, my mistake was that I paid him. The next day rolls around and I go and look at the "work" he had done and it is absolutely terrible. There is no longer a hole in the ceiling but there is a dip in the ceiling and the texture is so far away from the rest of the ceiling texture that it stands out just as bad. On top of that there was a crack in the ceiling that I asked him to get if he could and now instead of a hairline crack it is a patch of texture 1 Ft wide by 5 Ft long that stands out like a sore thumb. I called with no answer a few times throughout the day. So my wife called and got an immediate text back. She explained the problem and asked him to come back and fix his subpar work. He said he was out of for a couple of weeks, which he never mentioned to me when he said he could come back and fix his mess. He went from I accepted the work, so too bad, to he would mail me money back minus materials.. We told him that we would rather not do it that way. Finally he had his wife come and give us 2/3 of our money back which is better than nothing (only reason he is not getting half a star). I would have rather had the work done correctly the first time, or maybe he could have said no I cant match the texture. Now I have to hire someone else to fix his mess and probably pay more than I would have in the first place to do it right.

We had every room in our home painted. Matthews Drywall had the job done on schedule. Polite, clean, fair price. We'll be hiring them when we are ready to do the outside painting.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. If you want quantity they are ok if you want quality go find another company. You do not get what you pay for. They do not have drop clothes in their vocabulary. Luckily i covered up my furniture or i would be cleaning until next year. So far 14 hours of cleanup & still have plenty to do. DO NOT let them do crown moulding removal or door trim, they do not know how to install it back. Now we have to go buy new mouldings for the second time & install ourselves. They love caulk because it was everywhere. Jose had a good disposition but his memory is lacking. He DID NOT finish what he started. They also love drywall compound!! however, they do not care about removing the extreme overage. I am not sure how they got 5 stars from other people. They even stood on our toilet lid to do work & scratched it up so now we have to purchase new one. Not sure if we made any progress on our restoration on our house. We did get a hold of home adviser consumers solution dept: not sure what they can do for us we will have to wait & see. We are a retired couple & got taken but i also believe in KARMA & this company will get theirs & hopefully get put out of business so they cant take advantage of anyone else. We have taken pics of the work that was performed & you would have to say is that the before work was done pics.

Jose contacted me shortly after submitting my request. He scheduled the estimate the same day. When he gave us the estimate and explained what he was going to do we accepted it and agreed he would do the work the next day. He arrived promptly and finished the project in record time. He was very thorough and cleaned up the site very well afterwards. Lots of value for the money. I highly recommend Jose with Mathews drywall.

We called for an estimate on repairing drywall and adding new texture to walls in two rooms. Not only did we have an estimate that day, the project was completed within two days. We were very happy with both the quality and the value, and contracted with Jose for an additional project.
