I am giving them a half star because it is not possible to give them a Zero, which is what they are. I needed to have my house winterized last November. Fred the Plumber from Hell arrived with a very arrogant and misogynistic attitude. He did not want me to speak to him or even show him where the basement was. I am going to follow what he told me. After an hour, he told me he was done. I was shocked and asked him if he blew out the pipes, as the previous plumber used to take 4-5 hours to winterize the house. He seemed annoyed by my speaking to him and said, That is not necessary. All that needs to be done is drain the pipes. I asked whether he used antifreeze; again, he said that was not necessary except for the toilets. He then wrote up a list of items he would like to do next Spring during the re-opening. (He spoke to me as though he were the owner of the house and I was a small child.) He seemed more intent on adding sales items than taking care of the task at hand. Upon re-opening the house on 5/11/23, he found a leak and blamed it on the copper piping, telling me I would need to replace all the copper piping. He told me he would come back sometime next week to fix the leak. I am still waiting. I spoke to the company secretary, Elise, several times and asked to speak to the owner, Justin Mattice. She responded that it is not company policy for Justin to call up customers. (???) To date, no one has called to apologize or even acknowledge that there was a problem. Meanwhile, I have over $10,000 in damages from four broken pipes: the furnace, which was hit by the spraying water; a retention tank that gushed water; and the water softener and carbon filter, which froze and cracked at the base. He also removed the shutoff valve for no apparent reason, which caused all kinds of chaos during the leaks. It is just now, about 6 weeks later, that I am finally able to do other things besides mop up the mess that was left in my house. Use them at your own peril and only if you enjoy dealing with broken pipes and leaking water systems.

The repair man was very polite and fixed boiler from a previous repair gone bad. Cleaned and full service at a reasonable price. Very professional. They have my yearly business from now on.

The Company did a great job on everything. It was quick to respond to the project request, get us a fair quote, and start the work. Their project manager, Fred, was phenomenal. Not only was he ridiculously responsive, but he had great ideas that made the finished product better than we expected. When we had an issue, he came over on a Saturday to resolve it. I can't say enough about the work Fred and the team at Mattice did for us. We have several other projects to complete, and will certainly be calling on them again, when those get underway.
