We had the pleasure to work with Matute Roofing. After 25 years our roof, gutters and downspouts needed to be replaced. a neighbor up a few houses up had their roof replaced, and a neighbor of our daughter also had their roof replaced by the same company. We were impressed by the quality of the jobs they did. We contacted Matute Roofing, and Gene came the next day. He have is an estimate to replace the roof,gutters and downspouts, the price was impossible to beat. He told us they used only GAF products and explained the process of how it is installed. We decided to have the repairs done and also added the Gold Pledge Warranty, a lifetime warranty and transferrable if we sold the house. Gene was always available to answer any questions, called frequently to update us on the timeline for delivering supplies, and when the work would start. The crew were punctual, courteous and polite. there had to be 5 or 6 guys working at all times, they were amazing. Our yard was cleaner when they were finished than when they started. Would I recommend Matute Roofing to friends and family, 100% yes!! Go with the guy in the shorts!!

Very satisfied. We had 2 issues a vent pipe was cracked when tearing off old roof. I went to store to buy material to fix. They offered but I took care of it. They repaid for materials but I did spend 2 hours going to store and making repairs. They were honest and told me of broken pipe. After roof was installed I had to check my FM antenna and noticed 3 broken shingles used for ridge vent caps. I asked them to replace those and they did. So being a former roofer I realize things can happen on the job. The important thing is rectifying issues. They were the least expensive of 5 estimates and overall again, very satisfied.

I was asked to rate "Matute Home Improvement". Normally I don't bother rating contractors as I have been building for well over 45 years and responding to every request for a rating would be endless. The contractors with a relatively low number of reviews, say under 25, I wouldn't consider. As a builder, the reviews I read tell me if the customer was really satisfied, or just fulfilled a request for a good review. Writing more than just "checking" stars is what's important. I've built in fine areas of New Jersey as well as 8 years in Greenwich, CT. The quality of work "demanded" in Greenwich homes must be excellent. If you know Greenwich, you'll understand that to satisfy a homeowner, you must provide the best materials and equally important, is the BEST WORKMANSHIP. 1. They kept their appointment (a rarity for contractors) and came on time, was well dressed with the "Matute" name proudly emprinted on their shirts, offered a hand to shake and introduced themselves. 2. I was looking for varied services that a roofing contractor could, or should be able to provide. "Matute" showed me examples, what he suggested, less expensive to more expensive and explained the differences. 3. The sales person was able to answer every question I asked. I did not tell the salesman I was a builder, at first. I asked him technical questions about the labor and material just to see if he really knew his products or as just relating that which was in brochures. 4. This "Matute" company knew their products. 5. I can say without reservation, that "Matute" is a 1st rate organization. I'm critical and very particular, they do excellent work. 6. I got a completely new roof installed. I got my fascia replaced in areas of decay with new wood, then wrapped everything in maintenance-free aluminum. I got maintenance-free vented soffits installed on every eve. After all was completed, I had all my gutters and down-spouts changed from the usual size to the largest residential size. 7. All the above work was done quickly, efficiently and done to my expectations. It all looks great and all the garbage was removed as soon as the work was completed. Concluding; if you have a sizable job to be done and want good work for a realistic price, I have no reservation in providing my professional opinion that "Matute" is the way to go. Very happy, and more than exceeded my expectations! Gene is very professional, and very detailed explaining the work. His estimate was extremely competitive, and after I changed the date for the work (from winter to summer) he still honored the estimate he provided in the slow months. The work was excellent, performed in a timely manner, and the clean up was spotless. I was extremely pleased with the work!

Gene said they were the best and I can tell you they are! They were here at 7:30AM and had my roof complete by 5:30PM. Clean up was perfect. They even raked with a magnetic rake to pick up any loose nails. If you are thinking of getting a roof I would definitely reccommend Matute Roofing. Very professional and reliable.

Gene and the rest of the crew did a great job on our roof. The price was very fair, especially considering we did our research and got a number of quotes. There was a little miscommunication with the date of the work, but the job was fantastic and well-priced. I recommend Matute without reservation to anyone looking for a new roof! BTW, the cleanup was SUPERB!

I think they are very professional and if I had a choice I wouldn't recommend them because I want them to myself. Another person was getting their roof done and I can see a drastic distance in work quality when they got done the house was clean it was great job. I would rate 10 if I could give 10 stars. They did a very great job.

I got my roof replaced recently with the best roofing material made by GAF , from shingles to all the roofing accessories ( Deck Armor, storm guard etc. ) . The price was very good. The job was done very professionally and cleanup was handled very well, no single nail was seen on the ground. I highly recommend them .

When Gene first gave me a quote, I asked myself, 'How can it be this low?'. My friend (who used to be a contractor) said, 'You get what you pay for.'. Well, I got way more than I paid for. It turn out to be a bigger job than expected because all the sheathing had to be replaced. Gene kept me informed every step of the way explaining everything they were doing and why. They addressed all my concerns. They were a hard working crew that did excellent work. The final bill was more than I had hoped for, but way less than what I expected. You can't go wrong hiring them.
