June Review - We offered to write a new review for Max Grading after they came back out to correct the work. They did come back out and replaced the water basin with the ones we were using for our french drains; the grass will not grow over it and removed the rock. They also moved the water basin location so it was more in line with where the water was pooling. They replaced the existing sod with new sod, and they discovered our neighbors pipe leak issue which was causing all the water to pool in the certain area. The area in which the water pooled, has dried out and it looks much improved. We are satisfied with the re-work. We gave the customer service a two star because again the lack of communication. They did email me on a Monday saying they were hoping to be out on a Thursday or Friday, and would let us know on Tuesday which day. We never heard back from them at all during the week, and they showed up on a Sunday to do the work. We didn't even realize they were here; they didn't call us, email us, or knock on the door when they arrived. We only discovered they were here when we took our dog out. It was really odd, and wondered if they would have let us know they completed work when finished or would they just have left. May Review - first time out on the job was not happy with the work. The experience started out good. I called to set up an estimate and they came out within 48 hours. They arrived on a Thursday, said they had to do some checking on st. augustine grass and would email me the quote. By Monday I still had not received a quote. I called their main line, left a message, and then called a cell number and spoke to Hugo, although we got disconnected. He never called me back, so I emailed him asking for the quote. Finally, received the quote on Tuesday and I replied that we wanted to move forward with the project. By Thursday the following week I had not heard from him, so I called the cell right away. Hugo said he was at a job and didn't have a the schedule in front of him. I asked if he could look at the email in the evening and just respond to that and he said he would. Friday afternoon, no email response, so I called the main line again. I spoke to Hugo Sr. and he said he'd have his son call me back; which he did. Hugo scheduled me for the following Monday between 8:30am - 9am. 9:20 am on Monday, and no Hugo. I called his cell, he said he was having a hard time finding st. augustine grass due to rain and he'd be there as soon as possible; which ended up being 10:30am. I don't mind that he came out later, but he should have called to let me know instead of me waiting around wondering. The project was to drain standing water between our house and the neighbor's house due to our neighbor's pipe leaking, then regrade the sloped area between our house and our neighbor's house- raising it up with top soil and re-sodding, and add catch basins to the existing french drains. These guys were the best! They had to do my patio by hand (too narrow to get equipment in) and they did an incredible job. Went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with it. They did get started a bit later in the day (had a traffic issue), and took a while, but it was well worth the wait! Highly recommend them for your needs!!

Very professional. I needed to concrete a paver job next to my driveway and add a concrete walkway from my front door to my side driveway. They did an exceptional job and my wife wanted the side walk to curve with the elevation of my house. The did an exceptional job matching the curves to my wife's wishes and would definitely recommend them for concrete work

Max Grading was extremely professional. I had an estimate within 24 hrs of contact. Pricing was fair and the work was done fast. I would highly recommend these guys to do any kind of grading/landscaping job for your needs.

If there were six stars these guys would get them. Full disclosure I went with these guys based on the previous reviews and was not disappointed. The crew was friendly, the price fair and the job done quickly and competently. Could not recommend higher.

This company is awesome to work with. Hugo and Hugo Sr. and all the crew went above and beyond the scope of the job to do an excellent job with attention to details. The price was reasonable and the workmanship/quality of work and materials was excellent. They are a hard-working family business, professional in every way, and did everything they said they would do AND MORE! We especially enjoyed watching Hugo Sr. ride around on his Bobcat. He is amazing. I would highly recommend Max Grading for this type of work. Don't even get estimates from others. Max Grading is the BEST. You will not be sorry you hired them.

I highly recommend this company. Great service, great job, great people. They came out immediately, gave me a very reasonable quote, and started work that week. They removed a wooden deck that was falling apart & replaced it with concrete along with a widening & extension of my drive, and a walkway to connect. Any questions or concerns I had both before & after the work was completed were immediately answered.

The work I gave them wasn't insignificant...it was a big job and they quickly assessed the size crew and concrete requirements to get the job done right the first time and with an exceptional level of quality. Superb attention to detail ! Took care of the project while we were out of town with minimal impact on neighbors. Work was done on time, in the time allotted and looks great! Many of our neighbors were also in need of some driveway repairs due to tree roots lifting the old driveway and have asked us for the information about Max Grading which we gladly distributed. They also cut the tree roots which were lifting the driveway which will greatly improve the longevity of this driveway. Don't let the small company steer you away. These are honest, hardworking father and son team and do a great service for a very fair price. I highly recommend this company!!!

Very fine work and unbeatable service. Hugo and Hugo, Jr. went above and beyond by removing very large tree roots that had destroyed the previous driveway. No small task. They addressed every concern I had and completed the job exactly how and when we agreed. Small company, big results.

EXCELLENT ADVICE to effectively achieve Rain water diversion via underground pipes, drains & Grading. Hire these guys... Period. Prompt, honest, great workmanship. I had a ramp made and it turned out to be a bad decision on my part. I called Hugo and he was very understanding and considerate of my specific problem (not the ramp itself). For a very reasonable price, they got right here, removed the ramp and put much more functional steps in for me!! Pedro and Hugo are angels on Earth. Thank God that there are still people with ethics and consideration out there. The work I needed done was a big decision and they made the whole process one of the least stressful home-projects I've done. Thank you Home Advisor and Max Grading.

I found this company through Home Advisor and called them. They were always courteous, responsive, and thoroughly professional always responsive to our needs. After my initial call they came the next day to understand what it was my wife and I wanted done which included hauling all our debris away and gave us an estimate that same day. We hired Hugo and his team of professionals and they performed the job on time and with excellent results. All our neighbors, and even some passers-by, have complement how well our driveway looks. I would not hesitate to call Hugo and his team back next time we need their expertise and service. I cannot say enough about Hugo and his team. You will not go wrong hiring them.

We had a massive drive way poured. There was one problem with the whole thing, a section of the dirt had started to wash out from underneath the concrete. We called Max Grading back up and they were back a few days later to pour a footer/ sitting wall. The wall was poured just a couple days ago and it looks fantastic, and is stopping the dirt from washing out. We highly recommend them to anyone needing good, inexpensive work done!
