We currently hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and with new ownership and management we believe to be heading in the right direction. Maxum Construction provides innovative design solutions and high quality craftsmanship at a good value. We specialize in kitchen and bath renovations, and major additions to existing structures. We hired Maxum to perform a major remodel we sold our home and gave them $$$,$$$ to progressively purchase and secure cabinets, flooring shower materials, electrical, plumbing after many stalled dates, planning, our trades finally showed up to begin shortly after construction started the trades left because they never received payments. Many events later the company quit working our home was a banded and deemed unlivable by the AZROC. Hes still in business out there and has not completed several other projects. Homeowners Beware.

The ability to start within a couple weeks of contract. Scheduling the work was well done. All workers seemed to care about the quality of work. Overall it was a good experience in working with Maxum. I will hire them again for future home remodels.

Maxum has superior service and quality installations. We were verily pleased with everything they did and especially from their staff of specialists: Jeffrey, John, Jerry and Stephanie. They kept us informed and adjusted the schedule when shipping was delayed. They were prompt and all preformed to our satisfaction. We love our new kitchen!

We have a beautiful master bath thanks to Maxum...they were amazing to work with starting with the design team of Brian and Jerry, they were great in helping my design come together. Everyone was professional and they all did amazing work. I would definitely recommend them for any job!

They thought of everything and the design was not only beautifully done but was functional. The projected stared as promised and was completed on the timeline they gave me. I felt they set my expectations and delivered as promised. Price was fair especially for the quality of workmanship. I felt comfortable that they were licensed and have a store front and would not disappear with my money. I would highly recommend this company.

We started with Home Advisor and they told us the Maxum Design and Development was interested in out project. Maxum Design and Development contacted us and we made an appointment. Maxum was the best choice we could have made, from the very beginning. John and Taylor came to our house and evaluated the project, a complete remodel of the master, including the entrance area to the bathroom. They also remodeled 75% of the guest bathroom. Within 3 days Maxum had a design drawn up and a meeting was scheduled. We met with John and Taylor and the design presented was exceptional. The choices they made for tile, inlaid tile and shower floor were excellent. The colors and choice of counter tops and vanity were more than expected. The project was started two weeks later and took three weeks to complete. The two master remodelers, Ricardo and Jose', were experts and extremely skilled at their work. They worked steady and skillfully through out the project. We communicated with John and Taylor about what we needed to do in order for the project to move forward. It was also easy to work with Ricardo and Jose` on a daily basis. At the end of each day they would clean the area and you wouldn't know they had been there. The counter top and glass experts were efficient and skilled at their task as well. At the end of the project a cleaning person came to clean the two bathrooms and surrounding area where work had been done. We can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with Maxum Design and Development. From the beginning to the end Maxum and all their employees were the consummate professionals. We can recommend them without reservation and will, no doubt, call on Maxum Design and Development in the future.

I hired Maxum to remodel my bathroom. It was a fairly major remodel including replacing vanity, mirrors, lights, tub, shower, and even expanding the bathroom itself by moving a wall. The bathroom came out incredible and is not even recognizable. It was a big project, and definitely worth it. If I have any remodeling in the future, I'll definitely be using Maxum again

I was impressed by the fact that they had a superintendent on the job throughout the project. I found this a very pleasant experience as everyone is personable and professional. They were accommodating and genuinely interested and listened and took my ideas and then came up with suggestions. They did a fantastic job designing my cabinets. Most of my remodel was to bring the home to ADA standards. The workers were great and very respectful of my property while on the job. I highly recommend and most certainly will hire for my next project.

We did a complete master bath remodel project. We experienced an initial misfire and two week scheduling delay at the inception of the project, but once our Project Manager, John, was assigned, his crew really made things happen. The team was highly responsive to our questions and concerns. When a work crew shows up to your house with a jack hammer to take out a section of the foundation of your house, you ask questions because you have concerns. Every step along the way, John, or a member of the crew, alerted us as to what to expect from a noise, progress, or disruption perspective. The team maintained a clean and orderly worksite. We had timely, frequent, collaborative, and productive communication with the PM. As can be expected during any construction project, occasional deficiencies were noted. Once brought to the crew's attention, the issues were fully discussed, vetted, and a corrective go-forward action identified. Our project included fabrication of custom cabinetry with unique features. The creativity, craftsmanship, and workmanship of the final product was superb and exceeded my expectations. We are delighted with the final product and our new bathroom. John and the crew know how to get the job done and get the job done right.

These guys are amazing! The communication you have with these guys are unprecedented, they really do keep open communication and they are very upfront with anything and everything. They answered any questions I had, made me feel really comfortable with them. They exceeded my plans I had to remodel my house especially my bathrooms! It was honestly more than I could ever ask for. They really did a great job on my new home, I honestly couldn't be happier and if I ever needed anything else done with my house they would be the ones I would call.

These professionals are extraordinary. The quality of the workmanship and the level of customer service is above and beyond. The whole entire staff/crew are extremely professional and personable and an absolute pleasure to work with. Communication is impeccable as this was a long distance job and I was basically at their mercy. Our entire home has been updated. I cannot begin to tell you the extent of the extra touches that Dave and Dustin have done for us to enhance our home. They kept me informed throughout the project on a daily basis and would explain the "whys and why nots" of the work or our suggestions or ideas. Dave and Dustin did a everything we asked and went above and beyond with every task. They are always responsive when I call and willing to answer any questions that I would have. I cant say enough about Maxum Design - I would happily do the entire project over if I had to as this was a wonderful experience. They actually took "before" and "after" pictures and put them in an Album which they presented to us. Then, because I had not actually seen the work, they surprised me by tying a ribbon across the entrance that I had to cut as if it were a Grand Opening - amazing!! These gentlemen make me feel like family and I feel the same way. I would rate them 10++ stars if I could and I strongly recommend Maxum Design to anyone and everyone as this is a true professional.

Very bad experience with these guys. They were shady and I do NOT recommend them! The salesman comes to my house for a free estimate but asks me for $500 check. He says "oh they never cash these checks". So I give him a $500 check and three days later he cashes it. It resulted in so many bounced check charges! They came and did all the measurements but never gave me any of the 3D drawings. And it took over two weeks for them to refund my money. And they were hard to get ahold of on the phone, especially when I was trying to get my money back. I reported them to Home Advisor but I see at home advisor still listing them. :-( Buyer beware.

"Ivani, I am so terribly sorry you experienced this. I'd like to inform you that the man who came to your house was a general contractor who was operating under his own account. He was hired to complete some of the work at our jobs and began committing crimes by stealing money from various people whom he was supposed to bid out jobs for. We did not find out until we received many calls as he was telling these clients it was Maxum Constructions responsibility. He had a warrant out for his arrest for multiple similar acts in the state of California. He was arrested and is now in prison. He was not affiliated with us and we are truly sorry you went through such a gut-wrenching unfair experience. Maxum Construction does not do business that way and will always put our morals of trust, loyalty, integrity and customer satisfaction above anything else. I understand your frustration I do. He stole money from us and out of respect to make things right for the people he stole from, we paid back money to many people on his behalf. Again we are so very sorry you were caught in his vicious path of victims. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you."

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
Maxum "SUB"contracting is a company that hires cheap labor to do their work which is done very poorly. The main worker on my addition, whose name is Nelson, didn't even know the meaning of the word "Plumb". Shocking. I ended up barring him from ever coming onto my property. The building inspector stopped work and the job had to be restarted two times due to shoddy workmanship which did not meet building standards. They caused thousands of dollars of damage to my house, yard, and swimming pool. This company should not even be permitted to build dog houses. I have literally hundreds of pictures of unbelieveably poor workmanship to prove everything I am saying. This "3 to 4 week" project ended up taking over 5 months and ruined my whole summer 2017. My neighbors were upset at the dumpsters left on the street for months and ended up calling the HOA to file a complaint. The additions was started without HOA notification AND without obtaining a building permit from the City of Chandler. Two double patio doors on the house had to be replaced, along with 7 exterior lights, due to rain damage caused by their not covering the work area. The artificial lawn was used as a dump site for their material and was ruined which has to be replaced. They ruined the plaster lining of the inground pool which was replaces by Shasta pools at a cost of $9000 to me. At the end they had the audacity to tell me I owed them money. It's bad enough they know nothing about contracting, but they don't even keep proper book keeping. They had no idea I gave them two checks at the start of the project for the whole amount, stating at the end that I gave them less. All I had to do is show them copies of the cancelled checks that they deposited into their accounts. Pathetic. Be very, very cautious about letting this crew anywhere near your property. I really wish I could share my pictures with you. But soon they will be shown in court.

Received so many untruths during the process. Started off with and immediate $5,800 bump as I needed more quartz than one slab would provide and was told I had to purchase a whole slab to cover the two feet it was short????? Had to continually repeat my expectations to numerous persons. Cabinets were late due to fires in California????? Quartz counter top selected was out of stock????? Back splash selected was forgotten and ended up with completely different back splash????? Interior decorator provided was of no help whatsoever other than she did bring me a sample of the correct cabinet I described. Cabinets were installed without the already present lighting put in the display cabinets. Had to remind them of this after they believed the cabinets were finished. To date I am waiting for back splash grouting, cabinets knobs and pulls to be installed. display cabinet lighting, and finishing touches around my kitchen window which is currently in questionable condition. I even received a call from the company president and on after that call did the work crews actually start moving. Prior to that, I was lucky if they showed up one day a week.

Workmanship was poor initially, they did better after being told of problems. Management of project was minimal. I would not use again.
