Originally through Angie s List I got 3 estimates from different contractors. The first time I called May Custom Homes (Now renamed to 7 Diamond Builders), we finally decided to go ahead with the project & signed with 7 Diamond Builders. Contract dated 1/5/2024 for a total of $7, 989. 2 men representing the company came to our house & measured to install 2 - 3 x 5 ft bronze hurricane proof windows on our solid cinder block dining room wall to match the existing windows on another back wall in our dining room. We paid them $5,000 down to order the window & start the project. Before signing the project they assured us they could get the window project done prior to us leaving early May 2024 for the summer. We are snow birds. We were told by an employee, Danny Lopez, that our windows were delivered to the builder in March 2024 & now they would apply for the building permit. They applied for the wrong building permit, according to Manatee County Building inspection office & now they would need a drawing to show where the window will be installed on the solid cinder block wall. That new permit costs $107 extra from the $99 we were allowed on the contract, which we will pay. We left early May 2024 & the builder wasn t done with the drawing yet, so nothing was done. We were returning in early October 2024, so, I did reach out to Danny Lopez in August 2024 to remind him to make sure when we returned in Fall, I wanted to start the window project. We returned early October & they never showed up until November 4th. The builder, 7 Diamond Builders, informed me we needed to pay $2,000 now that project was started. We paid them $2,000 on 11/05/2024. Builders opened up cinder block wall & installed I beam above for support. 11/06/2024 Manatee County Building inspector inspected & wanted to have support beam moved a few inches over for better support & cable was not attached on west side of wall next to the window opening from floor to ceiling, so, they had to make a (5 in x 21 in) opening to attach the cable. We are willing to pay for that. On 11/07/2024 the workers did the 2 failures that the building inspector requested, but, then the building inspector was supposed to be called to reinspect, but, wasn t called back to do that by 7 Diamond Builders. On 11/08/2024 workers came, poured concrete inside wall. On 11/11/2024 workers framed area with untreated wood, installed 2 windows. On 11/12/2024 worker muddied & puttied around inside wall of windows & used canned foam insulation on the outside window/wall cavity. On 11/13/2024 Manatee County Building Inspector failed the inspection because they were suppose to have inspector back prior to installing window & builder did not use treated wood around the window. Inspector informed my husband, Dennis & I , that the 2 windows need to be removed, UNtreated wood needs to be removed & new Treated Wood needs to be installed, reinspected & then the 2 windows can be reinstalled & the project can be finished.

For a few years now around this time of year,when my escrow account is charged, I think of this company and how I wish I picked a better company. We got approved for the Roof, windows and doors replacement through PACE. First time home buyers of an older home, what a great way to add value and get newer things added to our home. All the work was done fairly quick. Had an issue with them replacing the awning by front door when it came time but it was included per sales guy that originally came to house to set it all up. They ended up not giving us a new back door but just resetting the French doors that were already there, said price would be corrected and I don't know if it ever was. The side door cement that is supposed to seal it all started cracking off within 2 months and the front door, well you can see light through the bottom and those little frogs can squeeze on in, the frame itself cracked and on the very bottom part where wall and door are supposed to be sealed, isn't, you can see straight outside. Windows were installed and sealed, inspector came said all good. One window was not/is not functional, as in you have to fight to open it and it does not stay up like the rest. Your supposed to be able to undo windows to clean them but we don't dare because we are afraid they will malfunction. The roof had I'm guessing, tar run down the front of house and looks gross. So I start calling asking if there's a warranty, I was told yes and someone would call me. A few weeks later I'd call again and told the same thing. After about 6 months I got a little mean and I was hung up on. Husband called a few months later and was told warranty is only for a year after install. Yet yearly there goes my payment, to a job so poorly done it's appalling. I finally decided to share my experience so no one is stuck paying on crap work for years

They built a 11â x26â sunroom/back porch onto my home and the work was excellent. The Romero brothers were the ones doing the work and they not only did excellent work, but also took such detail in their work, and answered any questions I had. My new closed in porch looks so good and several of my neighbors liked their work so much and thought it was so good, they were asking them if they could get estimates for them to do one for them. I highly recommend this company.

MCH showed up with no notice to deliver bin for old roof. Placed in driveway with material. (we had to park on street]. The nothing for a couple weeks. Then shoed up to install the roof (again, no notice). They worked all day stripping the old roof and starting the new roof, showed up the next day ripped off a lot of the roof they just put on and continued to install. Inspector came. Next day the said finished. That was the 24th. On the 28th IAN came through. All the shingles were lifting and flapping in winds of 35MPH. We lost quite a few and some had no nails in them. All I get is the billing dept. calling for balance, but no one to talk to or see about repair of roof. It has been a wee and nothing. NO USTOMER SERVICE!!

It has been 5 months and no work has been completed. I call repeatedly and cannot get anyone to return my calls or answer my questions. I recommend picking another builder.

Do not hire this company. I Contracted through their sales person to tear off and replace my 20 yr old roof. I chose them as, part of the bid, was to remove and replace my 1 yr old solar, for a total of $ 15,000 for the whole roof plus solar. Almost 2 months later after not hearing from them, I called. I was told they were having a hard time finding the Shingles. Almost a week later they called and found them, they wanted to start the Job the next week, and they sent out the contractor to remove the Solar. Another 2 weeks go by, I call them, and am told the Shingles would be delivered tomorrow. Another week goes by before the Shingles are delivered. The next day the crew showed up and did the job, It was another three weeks before the Solar was re-installed, but now only one bank of panels works. I called them about this and that the crew had only done part of the roof. I was told they would get back to me. 2 days later the same person calls and tells me the Contract was only for the pitched roof, not the flat roof ( Which is part of the house, and even the Sales person says was part of the bid. ) I get a copy of the Contract, it says the type and color of the Shingles and that any rotten wood on the deck would be extra cost Time and materials. Nowhere does it say the Flat roof was not included. I had gotten 5 other bids, ranging from $ 11,000 to $ 12,000 for the whole roof, but I would have to contract to have the solar extra ( around $ 4,600 ) which is why I chose Mays, they would take it off and re-install. So after 2 weeks I never heard from them except an E-mail saying the job was done and to sign the documents from the Finance Company, I refused and contacted the Finance Company. After contacting 2 lawyers I was told it would cost me ( Up Front) more than the price of the roof. So after 5 months and 2 extremely high electric Bills ( A partial one month and another partial, as the Solar company is sending someone out at my cost again ), I have had to have the Job finished by someone else for $ 2,500. So a job that was supposed to cost $ 15,000. ended up costing me almost $ 20,000. As of today I still have not been contacted y the company, Worst Customer Service ever, they did not even want to satisfy the customer and was treated very rudely by both people in the office when I called them, The Only the nice person was the Solar person that removed and re-installed the Solar!

We paid for a job, something simple, soffets and gutters, waited forever, the first crew came out MONTHS after payment and barely did anything...kept calling office, then told to call owner. dealt with owner and just got jerked around even when he came out multiple times stating hed make it right.lol, yeah right. the gutters were great and it was a nice company who agreed the owner did us dirty and was unprofessional. they never did the back of the house for soffets and didnt replace the wood they were supposed to. Not one of the workers(WORKING THE SOFFETS) understood english...if they did they chose not to communicate. STILL TODAY OVER 6 MONTHS LATER...the owner is jerking us around and not refunding the difference to finish the job. stated they used more GUTTERS and WE owed him more money. Its all BS. He is doing us dirty and its not right. I will NEVER recommend this company for ANYTHING...you will have to FIGHT to get anything done...or FINISHED. God forbid they owe YOU money...you will never see it. The owner is a joke and a liar and a con artist. They were so nice in the beginning until they got their money...that was our FIRST mistake. Dont trust them!

It was a pleasure working with the Romano brothers and Ariel throughout the entire process of installing our 8 new windows. They were all very professional, friendly, and always returned our calls and answered our questions. Ariel was involved from the beginning with measurements and setting up the install; he even jumped in one day to help with installation when a third person was needed. Romulo and Mauricio tackled a 2nd floor job that was difficult and posed some challenges, which they met with knowledge and experience to provide our top-level installation. The work they did was top quality and the outcome was fabulous! In addition - Nichole and Maria, in the office, were also a pleasure to work with - always returned calls and friendly and professional.

After two months of nothing being done finally the owner called and said the permits are going in within the next two weeks . I did get a phone call before that and was told they are starting to pour the footings never showed up all lies from everyone. When I called and asked what happened there response was they might have been in a accident.

I was visited by a representative. He asked me if I needed financing I said maybe and did paperwork. I did not commit to anything else, I also informed them the next week I had not selected them. 2 weeks later I was called by the rep and said they would be here the next day to start work He had lied and instead of financing he changed it to a contract which I never saw. They threatened to put a line on my house if I did not proceed Their price was 5000 dollars more than any other estimate I received. The workers did not speak or understand English and threw my satellite dish away They drove over my sprinkler heads after being told to be careful They left all there junk and garbage when they left which I cleaned up some and when I complained they had some one come out 10 days later. They sent me 200 for my troubles

May Custom Homes just installed a new Broan A/C in my home and I couldn't be more pleased. What a difference it makes! Keyton, the young gentleman who installed the system was such a delight to have in my home. He was so polite and courteous. When I explained what problems I was having, he made suggestions on how to solve them. I am so grateful for all his help! I was amazed at how quickly May Homes reacted when they learned I was without A.C. Mike the owner even sent over a portable A/C unit for us to use while the were installing the new A/C . They were at my house that Monday to start instillation.! I needed all new air ducts, ets., so it was quite a job. I am so happy and pleases with May Custom Homes work and work ethics' that I am having them do solar on my home. I am sure I will use them for other projects on my home in the future. And the price I got was exceptional,!!!! really.!!!! Thank You,

Mike listens well to the homeowner and takes in what they are trying to do! He doesn't try to sale you on what you want to hear because he is very open on what he is able to do and how it will fit within your budget.
