McDougal & Sons specializes in professional lawn mowing, string trimming, edging, & blower cleanup for residential and commercial customers in the Greater Des Moines Metro Area (Altoona, Ankeny, Clive, Des Moines, Johnston, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, & Windsor Heights). This narrow focus of services in a limited area allows us to deliver outstanding quality at a competitive rate. Established in 2009, McDougal & Sons Lawn Care, LLC, was started to give the McDougal sons an opportunity to make money for their hockey club participation fee (Des Moines Oak Leafs). Every year the business nearly doubled and after 11 years, we now care for thousands of lawns each season.

Lawn Care Maintenance and Mowing
When my yard is mowed it is completed in less than 10 min traditionally. The boys who complete it have little attention to detail and leave areas surrounding bushes untrimmed. The administration side of things has not gone much better. I typically pay a couple of months at a time in advance. When doing this I have to call to make sure the money gets applied to my account and often time one or two dates get skipped which then requires an additional phone call to correct. Thus the rating of *just okay* versus a five-star rating.

I had to really look at my lawn to know it had been mowed. There was no dead grass left on top of my lawn, there were no clippings covering my two streets, the yard and its surroundings were so pristine I had to look for lines in the lawn to know a mower had gone through, that and the grass was shorter. They have stayed in touch with me by phone or by email, they made a point to get here ahead of forecasted rains. I cant say enough good about them. Awesome service all the way around. I am truly impressed with them.
