The job for which I hired Matt had two parts to it. In December, when he did the first part, I was prepared to give him a 5-star review and write glowing comments.  However, I held off on doing this review until all the work was done.  Unfortunately, my perception has changed. The second part of the job was to be done in the new year. Since that time, it's like I'm dealing with a completely different person. In December, Matt made a great first impression.  He was punctual, quick to answer texts, friendly, courteous, informative, capable, and great to have around.  On December 20 I paid him for all the work he was to do the following week.  He did Part 1 of the work, as planned, and made a great impression on that second visit to our home also.  But the wire he had ordered for the second project was not in.  He said he'd be back the week of December 29th, and I agreed.   On Jan 2 he texted and asked if the weekend would work for me.  I replied that I would be gone Friday morning, but Saturday would be fine.  There was no reply from him, and I half expected him to come on Saturday, but he did not.  I considered it a misunderstanding/miscommunication.   On Jan 6 he asked if he could come first thing that following Thursday.  I replied that I could do Thursday or Friday afternoon.  I had meetings to attend in the Cleveland area both mornings. No reply from him.   On the 8th I texted that the next week was pretty much open. He said;OK; and gave nothing to go on as to whether he thought it would work. On the 9th I asked him to give me a date and time that works for him, and told him I would plan around that, including planning a trip I needed to make around his preferred time.  He said he would come Tuesday afternoon, the 14th.  On the 14th he was a no call, no message, no show.  I texted or called him four times, but no response.  On the 15th he texted an apology. He had been sick. Once he finished a 5-day medication he would come out.   When it got to the 9th day, I texted him again to ask if he was able to complete the work on any of three days I could be available.  He said Monday (January 27), at 10 would be great. The entire day passed with no call, no text, no show, and no response to my text. Again, he was paid in full on December 20th, for both the work he completed on December 27th and for the work that is still undone. I think Matt is capable of good work and 5-star customer service, but I can't think of a reasonable explanation for a business owner to treat a customer like this. Makes me wonder what happened to the guy we met in December.  I will be pursuing a refund.

So happy I hired this company! Matt called me promptly, showed up on time. Checked out everything to fix the noise as reasonably as possible. I found someone I feel I can trust. I'll be calling him in the spring to service my a/c unit. Thanks!

Matt arrived on time, was very professional, and was very thorough in diagnosing and fixing my issue.

This is second pro I have hired through Homeadvisor and again, very pleased with the work. Mr. McKinney was thorough, professional, friendly and came to our rescue as soon as he could. I would highly recommend him.

My air conditioner went out late last night and I heard back from Matt within a couple hours. He was out the next morning at my convenience . He was very knowledgeable and had me up and running promptly. I also appreciated his pleasant personality. I highly recommend McKinney HVAC and Appliance Service, LLC???

Matt did an amazing job installing a new air conditioner that needed updated from the old one that he replaced. (coils etc.) He's very efficient and thorough! He did everything himself. I'm impressed at how knowledgeable he was in every aspect of the job! Matt worked from the moment he arrived until he was done (in the heat). I will always call him for all my projects. His price was very fair! Thank you for recommending him!

Matt is a knowledgeable professional Communication was timely, he was able to arrive early than scheduled & checked in to see if that was okay (which I absolutely appreciated). He did an inspection and thoroughly explained what was happening with my AC unit, He's very personable & provided great customer service. I am thrilled that I now have a reputable HVAC person!
