McKinzie's Plumbing

Had a water leak on my main water line on a pvc 1 inch line in Feb. Of 2017. I dug down and located the leak. Had an estimate from McKinzie plumbing for between $300 and $900 for the repair, depending on the repair. They sent two, look like college boys, who were 2 hours late arriving a few days later. Only one had a shovel. I gave them another shovel and spade to finish the dig. After 3 hours the repair was made and covered.charged me $850. Leak came back end of 2018, in same place. Called them. Said only 1 year warranty. Asked to give me a better deal on return repair. Said no. Found a local commercial plumber, who was a son of a good friend of mine with 14 years experience, who dug back up. Found leak was result of poor repair. He explained to me that the slip fitting was not installed correctly and had probably leaked for a very good while. Made repair in less than an hour. Charged $200. Gave him $300. Beware of this plumber. Worst experience I have ever had with any contractor. I don't blame the 2 young boys for the work, but the owner for sending these boys out and not even inspecting their work on an $850 repair. Note too, all major plumbing companies give a 2 year warranty and send out CERTIFIED plumbers to do the job. I did contact Home Advisor on this repair and they took notes.

Prompt, professional, and friendly. $225 for a ten minute job seemed a little high. Perhaps offering a senior discount would make it a bit more equitable for seniors? Overall, job well done!

Great customer service. Only complaint I would have is a lack of descriptive receipt. $1350 is enough to warrant a descriptive receipt of work performed.

He was very knowledgeable and helpful in his service! He even gave us tips for preventing problems in the future.

He came in the evening, which was very accommodating and figured out my problems in no time. I thought he was a little pricey at $125 an hour. He cleaned up all of the smaller dirt but did not have caulk to place the cover back on the front of my tub. But he told me what to purchase and how to do it. Overall I’m happy...I have hot water at my tub and my jets work. Thanks McKenzies!

Over all I was happy...they came ahead of schedule, which was nice..a little pricey...paid $40.00 for the call, and then $175.00 for them to install a heating element in a 20 gallon water heater...worked great. Plumber forgot to put the facing back on the water heater and I did not get a receipt for the $40.00 call...still happy with them though.
