Central A/C Service or Repair
We got Shermans information from a contractor. He was a nice guy, but the AC started making a terrible noise after several days. Turns out, he is not replying to texts, and emails and apparently blocked our number. I wish I would have looked at reviews before going with him, but I trusted the contractor.

Heat Pump Repair or Service
Wish there were more stars to offer this HVAC company! McKown Heating and Cooling answered calls immediately and showed up in less than two hours. Sherman inspected and tested thoroughly to ensure he was making the appropriate repairs without unnecessary parts or cost. Took the time to troubleshoot thoroughly and ensure they were correct in their findings and repair recommendations. An absolutely all around positive experience with no hesitation to recommend a call to McKown for all heater and AC repair and replacement needs in the future. Wholeheartedly recommend McKown Heating and Cooling for HVAC in Hampton Roads.

Mr. McKown made time to fix my HVAC the day after I called him for an appointment. He came on a Saturday and didn’t charge me extra for weekend service. He charged me half the price that another company intended to charge me and also filled up my other unit with refrigerant since it was only half full. He’s very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend him. He’s our new HVAC expert.

Sherman was very helpful and even was willing to do a few little extra things for me-like changing my filter and my light bulb in the attic, which I really appreciated. He was knowledgeable about my unit and I felt he checked everything thoroughly. I felt like I could trust what he told me.
