Did not show up on the date that he said, did not deliver materials on date that he said, left job site after first day and came back one day later. He was rude and crude, work was very poor. When I told him his work was unacceptable he called me names and screamed at me.

"I have never worked with someone that has no clue on what was going on. Came at the end of the job and said it was all wrong! Her husband was very pleased, and said I busted my butt to get the job done "on time!" The husband said she was crazy!! Oh well! Can't make everyone happy. And I love the part about name calling. That's comical. So how did $1200 of lumber get used in the back of the building? I will add pictures off the job on my Homeadvisor page."

Doors (Exterior) - Install or Replace
Mr. McLeod was not going to use shims to plumb, square and level our entrance door (with sidelights) until I insisted. He stated he had installed HUNDREDS of doors and never used shims. I should have sent him home then. He could not get door to close properly or have equal gaps on door top to bottom. He said it was the door manufactures fault.

"Wow, 1.5 stars. Sorry he feels that way? Why then did he ask me for an estimate for his fronts steps? What happened to the other contractors that wouldn?t call him back? Yes I have done 100s of doors. I never said ?I don?t use shims?, that?s a lie! Then where did the shims I used on your door come from? I rubbed my lamp and shazamm there?s shims in the trailer? I tried to explain to (consumer name withheld per their request) that I will add the shims after I racked the door to plumb. Then use spray foam and it will lock the door to the opening. I showed him the tape measure, the top jamb was 36 inches, at the bottom 36 3/16 of an inch. Tape measure doesn?t lie. So in turn, the reveal on the latch side will never be equal. Remember this is not a regular door. It has side lite glass attached which makes it a unit. He had me install the door his way, which at the end, the top of the door had maximum clearance of 1/16 of an inch, if that. Unacceptable. Anyways, as I stated, sorry he feels this way. I try to make everyone happy. My ratings speak for themselves. Can?t make all the people happy all the time (even though I try my hardest), only most of the people, most of the time!"

Wood Stairs and Railings Repair
Although this was a small project, repairing front stairs, Sean did a wonderful job for a great price, and we feel safer going up and down the stairs. For any other small or large projects we may have in the future, I would not hesitate to contact Sean McLeod, and I will definitely refer him to friends should they need work done.

Sean and his helper- Mark- have worked on my home for two years now! Quite frankly, there isn't much that Sean can't do. He is so creative. If the conventional way of doing it doesn't work, he uses his creativity to come up with a new, unique method of solving the problem. This alone makes him head and heels above the competition!! Sean's prices are very reasonable, and his work is outstanding. Obviously, I would highly recommend him since I've already used his services on more than one occasion myself! To date, he has built my deck, repaired all of my rotted windows, insulated and painted my garage ceiling, replaced and painted rotted wood in the garage door frame....the list goes on! There isn't much he can't do. Sean' s company- Sean McLeod Remodeling- has been the answer to all of my repair/remodel projects. I'm sure you will be thrilled if you hire him too!!
