How to describe McKee Environmental Inc.? Prompt, Professional, Efficient, Expert, . . . Doug McKee, a PA-certified radon mitigation professional, scheduled a meeting within a week of our initial contact. During that meeting he performed a careful examination of the five rooms of our basement, our garage, and exterior and asked detailed questions about the house, additions, utilities, and attic spaces. He demonstrated his expertise by reviewing several alternative radon control installations and the pros and cons of each one. He worked with me regarding possible routing of the exhaust pipe to minimize length and maximize concealment. A week later, his crew, working under his supervision, were clean, efficient and quick, taking less than three hours to drill a hole in our basement floor in an unobtrusive location, installing the vent stack through the double wooden joist into the garage, up the wall behind four tiers of wire shelving and into the garage attic where they placed the radon mitigation fan and continued the vent pipe out the sidewall attic ventilator baffle. They contained all drill dust and left the project debris-free and clean. Following installation Doug left an electronic monitor in our basement for 50 hours to verify the reduction of radon present. I tested pre-installation levels to be about 4.4 pCi/L. Post-installation testing recorded an average of 1.5 pCi/L
