HomeAdvisor said this pro was screened and approved but this pro went to great lengths to misrepresent himself. He states on his webpage that he has been in business 11 years--his HVAC license was issued 05/22/2020 in KY. His webpage says free estimates and even though this was discussed and verified, he still charged me $30. His limited experience is in HVAC, not appliances and after 2.5 hrs., he still had no clue what was wrong with my icemaker, but he read the entire manual! He did not come prepared--no mask, no ID. Oh and the $30 check--before deposit he falsified and forged this check to make it $300. Beware! Law enforcement/court system now involved.
