Medrano Painting and Carpentry

Ramon and Eduardo were fabulous. They were professional, hardworking, and very accommodating. They offered great suggestions and also open to my suggestions. The deck is beautiful. Their work exceeded all of my expectations. I liked that they did not come too early in the morning, and they worked until dusk. They cleaned up every day, and took away all the debris. I would recommend them highly. I plan on using them again for all my future projects. Carol R. from West Roxbury

thy used a poor quality of wood

We needed the decking and rails replaced. Eduardo gave a very competitive estimate and was able to also discover and repair some existing structural problems. He was also open to working with whatever product we wanted which was not the case with some of the other people we got quotes from. They don't show up super early but they do work until they can't see anymore. Very hard workers.

They went above and beyond what was promised and the quality of the work was excellent. Would have given them a "7" if available.

Eduardo and Ramon were courteous, friendly, hard-working and did excellent work. We had them repair and paint our deck and trellis to enclose below the deck. They whole experience from estimation, to quoting, to finishing up the work was very smooth. They worked with us on the stain/paint selection, worked with our schedules and completed the work to our satisfaction. When we pointed out that there were minor patches in paint, they immediately attended to it instead of justifying why it was ok. They did all of that with a smile and cleaned up after their work. We will definitely hire them again.

DECK EXPANSION: Expanded deck 2 ft. in 2 directions: 4 new posts with concrete bases, added framing, flooring & railing, moved stairs over new concrete pad. EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP and attention to detail. Far better than the original. Work done in a timely manner and at a fair price. I would definitely hire Ramon & Eduardo again.

Eduardo and Ramon were excellent. They recommended improvements to my project that were a great addition. They kept within our budget and completed the work in a very timely manner. They were very clean and respectful. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I was so happy that I hired these two men. EDWARDO AND rmon came when expected did my deck so that it looks new again. They didn't stop until the job was finished and cleaned up and the price was right. I will hire them for the next job.

Eduardo was prompt in the review and quoting process and was on site within days to start the project. Finished on time and on budget...would definitely hire again. Great work. On quality I gave a 4.5 only because I did not outline the use of screws on the frame of the deck...I assumed screws would be used. My fault.

Ramon and Edwardo are a great team – very professional, do great work, and are very easy to get along with. Timing and cost were very reasonable. The project included replacing 2 vertical support columns and repairing surface cracks in the concrete deck and stairs. They explained in detail the options available for the material to use for the columns: composite (pressured-treated wood covered by PVC) vs. fiberglass. The fiberglass was much more expensive than the composite; so I selected the composite. They used Best Practices for installing the columns: double metal brackets between the concrete surface and the bottom of each column - so that the columns do NOT absorb water and rot. They provided valuable guidance on how best to repair the surface cracks in the concrete. When they were done, it looked like brand new concrete. They ground out all the loose material, filled in the cracks, ground the repaired surfaces flat, and put on a layer of stucco. Then they applied a prime coat of sealant and four coats of “granite grip” paint, which provides a textured surface so that walking surfaces do not become slippery when wet. They were meticulous in cleaning the job site at the end of their work. I would definitely hire them again. I am already writing up my list.

Courteous and professional. Hard working.

I had a great experience working with them and my deck looks beautiful now. They were very easy to get along with and they took the time to make sure I was happy with the work. I will definitely be hiring them again soon.

Very courteous professional craftsmen.
