Hiring MelNel LLC (also Mel-Nel LLC / MelNel Pools and Patio) to build my indoor pool was one of the biggest mistakes I?ve ever made. They work across Suffolk and Nassau County, and they have no business being in construction ? period. They left me with a pool that leaks, with large hollow areas in the floor, and no proper waterproofing. When the problems started, instead of fixing them, Nelson and Melody gave me one excuse after another ? telling me to just ?fill it with water? and it would somehow fix itself. They blamed ?humidity? in a room with no humidity and even suggested grouting the leaking areas as a solution, which shows a complete lack of professionalism and basic knowledge. Real professionals fix their mistakes. MelNel LLC ran and hid. After over 40 messages begging them to come back and fix their disaster, they completely disappeared. Now I?m preparing a major lawsuit, and I will make sure everyone knows how dangerous it is to trust them. If you are in Long Island run

Nelson restored my pool, he did many other repairs at my property and saved me from dealing with other contractors and was very reasonable about the cost!

Their consumer service is minus 100 .. they are extremely rude . They didnâ t know how to do the pool and I think they practiced on my pool . They have no license ti do the pool but pretended they do and they charged me like they are licensed and they didnâ t get permit or co even though it was in their contract . The pool is so bad that I have to remove it and it is not permit able . Every thing o. The pool is fone wrong but the worse part is they are theifs and took the lady payment and disappeared and I see people here giving them 5 starts

I gave the contract to them because every concern I had they took the time to answer I knew I could trust them.Project on time and reliable service

MelNel Construction was a pleasure to work with. Nelson is knowledgeable, efficient and very attentive. The job was not quickly with great results and their pricing is very fair. Melissa the office manager was always very helpful and quick to get back if you called. I would highly recommend MelNel, aside from excellent work, they are really good people!

Timely service- the will k was done as promised on time, beautifully done - excellent service- since they did such a great job, now I call them for other services too: new heater installation, closing or my pool - very professional and helpful for questions and ither concerns I highly recommend them !

They dont have license and insurance and they installed a pool for me . The contract they give you looks really good but then I found out it is copied online and nothing is right about it . They are money hungry and fight you for money ahead of the time and still the money and run away . It is a father daughter who created this web of lies . They too ton of money from me and left at the very end after they got fully paid and I trusted then to finish . Mellisa has learned to intimate people to pull money out but the father promises to repair and fix . I went to sue then I realized it they dont even have license to built a pool so obviously they can not get you permits or anything . They have no tools or anything and their tool is cheap labor they put in your house and they get multiple jobs . The labor has only a shovel and a barrel and . Be aware they claim they are doing pools for years but they took my money and ran away . Now I am in process of suing this two father daughter con artist .

Kudos to Home Advisor for sponsoring this man & his company. There wasn't one review I could find on MelNel, yet I had a good feeling. I'm glad I hired him (Nelson) to drain & dismantle my above ground pool. Nelson, the owner and one other man, Jose, showed up for work at 8am. They submerged a hose to the bottom of the pool and drained it, which took only an hour and a half. Amazing!! The dismantling began during the draining and lasted another hour and a half. Jose single handedly, cut up, stacked and cleaned up neatly. They loaded up their truck with all the debris and drove away @ 11:30am. My pool is gone & I'm going to make it to work on time. I call this a perfect Saturday!! Thank you, MelNel construction!!
