Melissa is habitually late even after conversations

Melissa was promo and detailed. She did a deep clean at my house 🏡 and made sure that my expectations were met. I will continue to use her services.

Melissa is very polite and friendly. She does a thorough job and even asks if I want anything done special. I feel very fortunate to have found her.

To her credit, Melissas Housekeeping was the only business that responded to my request on HomeAdvisor...unfortunately. This was for a move-in clean. I specified the square footage of the house and I specified that the square footage INCLUDED a full finished basement. When Melissa arrived (almost 2 hours LATE) she said she would have to add $50 to the cost because she did not realize the basement was so big. I walked her through the house and said several times that her priorities should be to clean inside of cabinets, drawers, and closets, as well as the laminate floors. She said it would take at least 2.5 hours to finish a project this big. (Remember, she even had to charge extra for the size!) BUT, she called and said she was done, packed up, and ready to leave after only an hour and a half. In that time, she had done almost nothing! I have several pictures to support how little was done. The cabinets were sticky and disgusting, however after I wiped a wet cloth over some of them, they came clean easily, which shows that she did not even attempt to clean inside the cabinets and drawers. Additionally, after walking barefoot on the laminate floors for about ten minutes, I realized my daughter's feet were absolutely disgusting. As if they had not been swept in months. According to Melissa, they would been swept and mopped really good just an hour before. When I contacted Melissa with photos, her first response was your cabinets were too high to reach. Sadly, most of the photos were low cabinets, and you can not get much lower than the FLOOR, Melissa. Even in the bathroom, it was sprayed with something but never rinsed! There was a film of slimy soap over the sink, fixtures, and bathtub. Melissa offered to come back out next week to clean, but this was a MOVE IN clean, and the moving truck was arriving early the next morning. I asked for a refund, or at least a partial refund for the incredibly disappointing work. She agreed to refund $50 when she came back to my area two days later. I asked her to return my check and I would write her a new check for $50 less. She said I really need the money. I promise I will bring you the $50. Of course- shockingly, she did not. She cashed my check and for days sent promises of mailing me a certified check. Of course, she did not do that either. I will NEVER use HomeAdvisor again. The reviews on this site for Melissas Housekeeping absolutely have to be completely fake. No, Melissa, I do not believe you are a reputable business or even a legitimate housekeeper.

This cleaning service provided the exact help I needed. I will be using her again as well as referring the business to family and friends.
