Paul Melnik's family fled the former Soviet Union in search of freedom, bringing with them something extraordinary: nearly 200 years of roofing and construction knowledge passed down through nine generations. What started as a trade in the old world became the foundation of one of Rochester's most trusted names in exterior construction. In 2018, Paul took the reins and modernized the company, bringing tech-forward thinking to a craft built on tradition. Since then, Melnik and Sons has grown into one of the region's largest roofing companies, earning Tesla Solar Roof certification and raising industry standards with details like stainless steel nails and lifetime pipe boots. They did a wonderful job! Communication and customer service was excellent. The work they did was on very visible damage and the repair is seamless with the original structure. They even matched the paint perfectly somehow! I highly recommend.

Please be careful since it seems this firm is not experienced in siding projects.

We had a leak in our sunroom and out of 6 contractors I tried to contact, Roofing Rochester was the only one who returned my call and had a guy out to look at the job 24 hours later. They responded to every question I had, quickly and thoroughly. They were prompt, communicative, and just great to work with! I already have another job lined up for them.

Asphalt Shingle Roofing Repair
Roofing Rochester did very professional work on rebuilding my roof. It was done in a timely manner and took care in eliminating all the past problems that the roof had. Customer service was friendly and professional. They help me deal with my insurance company to see that I had all the necessary information and paper work to get the coverage I deserved. I am happy with the experience. My only advice is to be sure of the cost of plywood from the start.

Asphalt Shingle Roofing Repair
I am so thankful that Davis Herold made a commitment to reseal my skylight. At first I was told by another rep that they were backed up and couldn't get to the job til spring. After I protested he looked at it again and said he would try to get one of the techs to get it done. I checked the ceiling after it rained and I did not see any leaks in my ceiling. Thanks so much Davis!

Working with Norm for getting a estimate was very pleasant. He answered all my guestions and treated me with respect. Working with mike during the day of roofing install was great. He sent me pictures of what the guys found during installation and explained details. He did a great job of walking around the property after job was complete and when I called him later in the day to verify pick up of extra materials and dumpster he called me back and was grateful I called. The gentlemen that did the work on the roof install did a great job of installing the roof and clean up afterwards. I would gladly hire this business again.

This was a great experience for me. We did have a small leak that happened during construction (the tarp had a small leak) that was taken care of the very next morning (less than 12 hours) Communication at the start was a little slow, however, once that project was under way this issue was non-existent.

"Hi Mack, I am very sorry that you had a less than perfect experience with Roofing Rochester NY. We have put new process in place so that we will not have this type of thing happen again. Unfortunately the rep that meet with you was out of line when he requested 50% down. Its been our company policy from day one to receive 10% when we sign the contract and get the job on the schedule. After finding out about this situation when I spoke with you, I did send a refund check that same day. Based upon our last conversation you received it and have cashed it. Thank You for you patients as we resolved this issue. We are really sorry for any inconvenience that this caused you"
