BUYER BEWARE?In April-May 2026, we hired Abi Nava of Mercury Contracting in Santa Fe, to replace our front & back gates and our front door. It took a few call-backs for some minor fixes, but ultimately he finished the job, we paid him in full, and everything looked great? for about 2 weeks. That?s when the literal cracks started to show (see photos). We called & texted Abi multiple times to have the work remediated. He always promises to come back to fix it but never shows up. June is now almost over. Until he makes good on his word and work, we cannot recommend Abi?s or Mercury Contracting?s services.

This was a difficult situation. Their crew was very nice, respectful and showed up always when they said they would. We used them 1st for a very large 4x5 ft ceiling drywall patch. The work was excellent, quick, leveled and perfectly matched ceiling texture. So we hired them for a 1/2 bathroom full remodel, replaced the stand up shower re tiled 2 walls, replaced the sink and toilet had a medicine cabinet put in. Please believe me when I say EVERYTHING had to be redone multiple timesâ ¦ meaning the tile had to be broken and patched 4 times, the shower frame was not leveled properly so the glass would not line up to fit, removing the frame caused damage and we have to order a new one. The plate on the faucet was in backwards so they had to disconnect everything again. The very expensive p-trap I bought was not measured and where they placed the sink too short so they had to break the tile again to move the piping in the wall. It was then leaking. The light housing was not put in even and would not line up for the fixture, they had to break the tile again and even after that it still doesnâ t line up. Shower value was put in backward so the water defaults to the wand ( the tile will need to be broken again to fix that.) The pipe for the over head shower was leaking when on hot, I was told it was fixed yet when I turned it on it was leaking out of the wall ( nearly spraying.. yup tile had the be broken again) As nice as everyone was and we felt the owner was easy to deal with, very agreeable and lowered our invoice by $900 for the shower frame damage and not finished the job because we asked them not to continue, I can not in good consciousness refer them for a bathroom remodel. The dry wall was great and we really really appreciated the owner not being difficult about the money and we completely understand itâ s hard to find skilled workers. It was just truly a nightmare and we have to hire someone else now to fix and finish the job. In the meantime we donâ t have a shower because our studio bathroom which we were using during remodel is scheduled to be rented.

He came on time and did an excellent job, couldn't have been any better! A major recommendation from me for sure.

They were prompt and efficient. They explained the steps and showed me the problems and what was needed to repair them. Even took pictures of some of the big cracks on the high window frames. They came and looked over the project, then went to get needed materials and gave me an estimate via text. Then they did all the work and the price was the same as the estimate. Iâ m very satisfied.
