I have had several maintenance jobs at my home completed by Merjaerz Construction. Robert Novak, owner has performed all of the work. He installed hose bibbs, installed spotlights on my patio and modified steps to assist my wife who could not because of Parkinson's disease navigate the steps very well. He also did a large job of fixing my patio overhang and installing facia and tongue & groove to replace rotten wood on the overhang. He replaced everything that was wood with composite materials to avoid any future rotting of the wood. I am very pleased with his work on everything.

Rob has done both major and minor repair/renovation jobs for us over the past several years, including repairing/replacing gutters and downspouts and installing leaf guards to minimize upkeep. His knowledge of all aspects of construction and exceptional level of expertise make him an excellent choice for any repair job, large or small. I can recommend him without reservation.

Over the past 10 years I have engaged Merjaerz Construction to complete the home projects listed below. The projects were completed in a timely and professional manner in each case. This would be my contractor of choice for any future projects.
2015 – 2016 : Kitchen remodel to include removal & replacement of 800 sq. ft. of tile with new Durock underlayment. Design & construction of built in cabinets & island. Installed laminate countertops. Fireplace & hearth tear out, Durock & tile installation.
2017: Tear out & replacement of 3,700 sq. ft. of roofing, skylight replacement/installation & resolution & repair of dormer leakage with siding replacement. NOTE: The dormers were a long standing issue that others were unable to correct.
2020: Repair of exterior west facing wall due to hidden water damage & insect infestation. Demolition, repair/replacement of deteriorated wood, insulation & siding. Installed new window & trim. Coordinated with homeowners insurance.
