New roof install, Soffit and facia replace\repair and new gutters installed. Great work reasonably priced! The salesman (Chris) was friendly and matter-of-fact regarding the work requested and the estimate for it. No pressure to buy the work being requested. Work done was managed by Jesse. Very professional and careful. Even discovered that some of the work that I thought I originally requested was missed in the contract. Jesse called the owner (Mark) for approval and the work was done without any additional cost! Looking to have some new windows installed and maybe siding done in the near future. Will definitely start with Merrifield Exteriors, LCC for my first estimate!

contract signed 5/26/2020 and installation scheduled for the week of 6/14/2020 for 50-foot seamless gutter with 2 downspouts to empty into rain barrels. The crew arrived 6/15/2020 and before work started informed me that they had the wrong color elbows but would return later in the week to install correct colored elbows. The first gutter installed and crew informed me that they were 4 inches short on material to install the second gutter, but again would return later in the week to complete the job. my structure was marked as to the height of the downspouts as my rain barrels had not yet been delivered- COVID related delivery delay. Received voice mail on 6/16/2020 that crew would return on 6/18 or 6/19/2020 to complete the job. After 5 p.m. on 6/19/2020, I sent an e-mail to inquire when my gutter job would be completed. Received a phone call from an employee on vacation, that he was unaware that the job was incomplete, and because no one was in the office, someone would call me the next day by 10:30. The next day I called the office at 11:00 and because it was Saturday there was no one there. I called on Monday to inquire when my gutter job would be completed and was told someone would be out the next day to complete the job and I asked that they not be there when I was not there. I returned home on 6/23/2020 to find my gutters installed with the correct colored elbows but the downspouts were positioned over 12 inches to low. I called and asked to speak to the owner and he called me back but said he would talk to me tomorrow because I was too angry at the moment. I insisted he listens to my complaint and inquired as to when this situation would be resolved. There seemed to be a problem with the timing of my work hours and the crews work hours and I informed the owner that I had been very patient and had waited a total of 3 days on my vacation for his crew to install my gutters during their normal hours and I was not able to take any more time off of work. The owner agreed to come out himself and resolve this issue but it would be the following week. That ended up being on 7/8/2020 but when he arrived he did not have the correct tools to complete the job and would have to send out a crew another day. On 7/22/2020 the crew arrive and properly installed the downspouts to the correct length. On 7/27/2020 I noticed on the originally installed gutter that rain was flowing between the gutter and the building and called the office. I was told that sometimes it rains so hard the gutters cannot hold all the rain and they can overflow, and I again explained the situation. I was contacted by a crew member and was told he would be out in the next two days to look at the gutters. On 7/29/2020 I received a voice mail that the crew was on the other side of town and would not be able to make it but would be out the next day. It is now after 7:30 pm on 7/30/2020. Just give me one good reason to give this company a rating higher than .5, I would go lower if I could.

I had Merrifield Exteriors install new basement windows in our home. They were great to work with and we are very pleased. I recommend them highly.

I had this company out for a window estimate and that turned into a roof and gutter estimate; I ended up contracting them to install a new roof on one of my outbuildings. I will start by saying it was very clear to everyone, even someone with literally no idea what they were looking at, that the existing roof was in bad shape (hint: that is why I needed it replaced). The trusses and decking are visible at the ground level so it is very easy to see the internal condition of the roof. The initial quote was excellent and included tear off, all new decking, OSB, and good quality architectural shingles, as well as debris removal. It took about 2.5 weeks for the work to get scheduled (life in the time of Corona). A gentleman whom I believe is the owner (Tim) came out to do a materials estimate and added a small charge to replace some of the trim board on the exterior of the building at a cost of $60 and said the existing decking we currently had did not all have to be replaced, but they would replace what was rotted and damaged as quoted; he did not alter the quote at this time aside from the additional board as stated above. We had a little trouble with materials delivery; I was called and informed materials would arrive a day or two before the workers came, but I woke up the morning of the job start day to find workers there but no materials. They got it figured out and work began. A few hours later, Tim (owner) calls me and asks if my husband can come out and speak with him. At this point, the existing roof had been torn off, so my husband is standing there having just woken up looking at a garage with no roof. Tim proceeds to explain to him that the decking was in much worse shape than they anticipated and that it would be an additional $1,300 to do the job *right.* Out of duress, my husband agreed; he then called me and explained what was happening and I told him to stop and pull out the contract and pinpoint exactly where it said *all-new decking* as being included in the quote. I then called Tim back and we had a dialogue about the unexpected expense; at this time, he was on his way to the lumber store and it was not clear to me exactly why they needed more money and what specifically that was for. My husband spoke w/ Tim again and consequently denied permission to move forward with the additional expense. I called my salesperson that evening and spoke with him about my concerns and frustration. It was very clear the roof needed new decking upfront to me; that should not have been a surprise to anyone. I did not understand why they would need more money for new decking when the job was quoted to include all new decking. He said he would talk to Tim, try and get to the bottom of it, and that Tim would make it right. He also said the job was much worse than they all anticipated and that there would be a company-wide training about this type of job and what to look for in the future. Fast forward to the next morning, I call the company line and spoke with the office manager, Nicole. I again explained my concerns and she said she would speak to Tim and have him get an itemized list of the new expenses. We talked again; I learned the $60 was actually x 2 (fine, no big deal) and the $1300 would have been for new OSB in addition to decking. The job was completed with SOME replaced decking and no OSB. Workers were gone when I got home and I did not hear from Tim again. I reviewed the work that evening and am generally satisfied with the work; however, there is one side of the garage that is unfinished between where the roof and sidewall meet -- this is totally open and exposed so birds/critters can get in the garage. The other side is not like this and it was not like that before the new roof was installed, but that is a job we are going to do ourselves.

Working with Merrifield was great. Communication was top notch and so was their work! My roof was in horrible shape, even though it was a year old, because prior roofers had done it incorrectly. Merrifield was able to correct everything! My roof is now in tip top shape. They are also reasonably priced. Definitely recommend them!

We had all our windows and door to our yard replaced. We hired Merrifield for that. They were very professional and we were very happy with their work. The windows and their work has transformed our home and we can’t stop raving about it. Costs wise they were very reasonable and in fact lower than others. We highly recommend them.

Merrifield Exteriors recently replaced the guttering system and downspouts on my 32 year old home. Tim Amick is a very knowledgeable and professional salesperson who guided me through my options and answered all my questions and concerns prior to installation with a no pressure sales pitch. The installation team arrived two weeks later. They also were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, a pleasure to talk to and work with. Approximately four hours later they completed the project with an impeccable clean-up. Merrifield Exteriors will be installing a new sliding glass door for me a couple of weeks from now and I anticipate the same type of experience as that of the guttering system. I look forward to this next project and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Merrifield Exteriors for home improvement needs!

Very friendly and professional. They explain everything you want to know. There is no high pressure and the cost was much less than we expected. They replaced all (11) of my windows in one day. We thought since it was cold we would have to wear our coats, but that was not the case. We would definitely employ them again.

I worked with Tim Amick at Merrifield. He was professional from the beginning. He showed up on time and with sample windows. This was a huge help in making my final decision. We replaced aluminum slider windows with double-hung windows. His timing estimate was accurate and his installation crew was efficient, knowledgeable and professional. The windows look like they have always been there. I was pleasantly surprised with the decrease in road noise. I would strongly recommend Merrifield.
