"Dear Danica, The interior design industry standards ask that the fees for design work are payable upfront as the work is done prior to the presentation after the complimentary consultation meeting. We establish all this in a scope of work presentation, and the day is scheduled to present usually within 3 weeks of the first meeting as stated in the fee agreement. We understand after carefully looking at this, with deep regret, of not serving you to your satisfaction. We have over 12 emails during the course of 3 weeks and 6 text messages contacting you. I wanted to make sure you are corrected as you say there was no contact. The drapery came in at $6,900 not $14,000, for all of the house including double rods, double drapery and solar shades throughout, and this is a deeply discounted price, and an email was sent with this breakdown and this pricing. The initial meeting was a complimentary consultation and as we had never met we cannot start work that day; however, we agreed to our fees prior to the work and a thorough description is provided so the client understands what will be done prior to the meeting, signed off by the client as we did with you. Budgets can be dealt with accordingly; however, we showed you all the pricing in the presentation and picked many things to start that you loved. We used digital presentation as we did not choose a CAD or sketch up option, although we offered it to you. Concepts were provided once you chose, showing how all would come together. Finally... as a courtesy we had offered you hard costs on several items for your home to help you, and never heard back.
