Same day service from Metro most I called said it be a week. Nice people great service the repair man saved me money and only took one hour had my AC unit back in service. Yes I use Metro Services again.

I requested Metro Service repair my AC on 7/21 for the second time because it was not blowing cold air, though the fan was working. David, the technician, said it is either the capacitor or the compressor and if it was the compressor I should buy a whole new AC unit and system from them for $4,700. I have a two ton unit that takes R22 refrigerant. David installed what he said was a new 70 capacitor from his truck into my unit and said give it four hours before turning it on. I waited four hours and no cold air. I told David I wanted to wait before buying a $4,700 new 410A system. I called another vendor who inspected the 70 capacitor David installed and he said it had a bubble at the bottom of the canister, and the electronic reading showed it at a 0.52 level remaining rather than 70. I have no way of knowing whether it was a defective product or if it was installed as a used part. I do know that the second vendor fixed my issue by installing a working capacitor for $90, saving me $4,610. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue with Metro Service, but it reminded me of business practices investigated by Dateline.
