We hired him in September of 2018 to replace the decking on our deck. We gave him a check for $6,225 for materials for Trex decking. He never did the work and gave us excuse after excuse for the delays. We were stupid enough to believe him and let it go on too long. He said he would give us a refund and to make a long story short he has filed for bankruptcy, so we are screwed. Do not trust him as we did. Live and learn.

I was initially very happy withlook of the work BUT less than one month after completion I noticed the paint was peeling off in many areas. Meurk had shown me color sample chart and personally recommended the use Behr water based line. Meurk blamed the Behr (Paint) but promised to make it right in text messages to me. He rescinded his offer and then told me to take it up with Behr and that he made no guarantees for his work! Behr offered to supply new product for free, rental fee for sander and stripper chemicals but felt it was Meurk's mistake for using water based product rather than oil for this application. I even offered to split the cost of labor but was rebuked. I issued a complaint to Home Advisor and they claimed he no longer works with them! Do NOT use him

"1) He was advised that the deck was on the ground and the moisture would be coming through. 2) I followed all possible manufacture specks. 3) The manufacturer will not pay for labor only to pay for supplies. 4) Warranty does not cover manufacture default. 5) No warranty was told to the consumer because his deck is on the ground and collects moisture and he does not clean spaces and it collects moisture. 6) If Behr was covering their products and would cover the labor cost I would be more than happy to do it. 7) The consumer wants me to pay for the job out of my pocket when it is the responsibility of Behr. The consumer contacted Behr and told the manufacture to not talk to me anymore and that he would handle it between Behr and him."

Mike did nice work. We're very happy with how our screen porch looks. We had some uncontrollable delays due to rainy weather, but he did some weekend work and we were able to enjoy it by Memorial Day weekend.

Michael was fantastic! Did a bang-up job on replacing the old side door to the garage. Reframed and installed a new, better than before door. Did a great job - I was very impressed. I will hire Michael again in the future when I need major home improvements and you should too.

Project started on 9/13 and replacement completed on 9/16. There were timing issues, from both sides, but it was not a problem. Mike completed the deck as contracted, and added a few boards at my request. The first part of the project was done efficiently and looks good. The second part of the project will be done next spring, when Mike returns to seal and stain the entire deck.

Mike and his team did a great job! My original deck upon his inspection was structurally unsound and unsafe. He communicated with me throughout - discussing increases and issues that came up along the way, and build an up to code deck and safely.

Mike and his son did a high quality and professional job installing 2 storm doors. They willingly answered any questions that I had regarding the installations. There are other projects I have planned for the Spring and I am going to ask Mike to do the work. I would not hesitate to recommend Meurk Construction to anyone who asks.

"I think he should mention that weather, leaving for a week on vacation without electricity, and completely changing a clean & seal deck to completely redoing the deck to brand new would complete the deck more quickly"
