I gave him $540 for supplies to do a job which he never did. Took him to small claims court, won the case , and still have not got the money I paid him along with all court fees. It has been going on since June, 2019.

He showed up 1 week before the project and said he could start that day and needed 2k to go get materials and would be back in 2 hours that day. I never saw him again and has never returned my calls or texts.

Beware of Jutras Construction He is dishonest.

I hired them to tear out old deck and install new. My issue is I gave deposit on July 16th, and project supposed to start on Aug 5th. Materials were two weeks behind, then contractor claims he broke both arms, and needed 6 more weeks before he could start, Now he has ghosted me and will not return my calls.

They did a great job Good quality work no surprises Did extra and did not charge And i got to meet Bear his great dog Highly recommended The work and the pup

Committed to do the work and agreed upon time frame, unable to provide correct material and work before the deadline. He refused to return my deposit, no work was done and incorrect materials were return to the store and he received full credit. When I asked him to return my deposit he said: See you in court!

He was polite, very careful with my new rug, thorough and informative. Everything that I was looking for.

Mike returned calls as promised. He was knowledgeable & efficient. I have referred him to my neighbors for service.

And fired!!!! I have no idea where the positive reviews are coming from .... definitely not my experience.... zero communication, barely responds and by that I mean at points 1 week + of daily messages , with nothing back , 2 1/2 months into a refinish deck and repair a few areas project , I m left with a dumpster clown job , deck a) wasn t fully sanded down correctly , didn t even bother trying on some areas just slathered stain on top of it without even cleaning dirt , debris or sanding right , which looks horrible, the repairs, laughable at best, tried replacing 1 mahogany stairs with 3/4 inch red oak (you do not use red oak out doors , period) tried to claim he realized wrong size after removing old stairs and didn t want to leave them open , wrong size is one thing , he brought wrong material to begin with and I caught him , agreed to fix the stairs by a now given deadline along with finishing the project, including another coat on main deck , was even willing to over look the errors in the job at that point I could put time in and fix , and refinishing the stairs and doing it right . That was last Friday, given till the end of today . In the meantime two great weather days have come and gone , not even so much as a peep . I don t know if the previous reviews were just no brainer jobs or people that don t know better. But I 100% would not hire this gig and his female worker there is no crew not that I have ever seen in the very few times they were actually ever here, doing this joke they called a job, took pictures or every inch of it , anyone needs a reference to assure I am not just a bad customer complaining about nothing like he seems to like to argue in all his bad reviews let me know, more than happy to share the messages and pictures ... DO NOT HIRE!!!

Starting was good. Currently terrible since no contact.

He worked quickly and independently. The work is a good quality for the price. Scheduling difficulties, but he resolved them as promptly as possible. Would recommend if you can be flexible on timing.

Mike was prompt for his appointment, professional and honest. Hired him to inspect and clean my chimney prior to the installation of a pellet stove. He told me the chimney was fine and did not need a cleaning. He could have cleaned it or said he cleaned it and charged but he was honest and did not. He is doing other work for me.

Mike was efficient, did a good job at a great price. He cleaned up after himself and we were very satisfied with his work.

He was the only one who would come at the last minute for an emergency. He fit me into his scheduled. He was a life saver.

Michael did a good job on our deck remodel especially given the condition of some parts of the old foundation. He was patient and polite with my questions and nitpickiness and did his best to correct the areas that I had concerns about. He went above and beyond by reinforcing some areas under the deck that were lacking so that the boards on top would be secure and flush. We will be calling him again for a few other projects down the road.

Answered quickly,came quickly, and able to do the work within a week......had to wait for weather.

I highly recommend Jutras Construction, LLC. They gave me exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price. We will hire again for our next construction project.

01/05/19 Left me hanging with delay after delay of job start and left my yard a demo mess after partial removal of old deck, then stopped answering my emails and stopped returning all my phone calls. This went on for over 3 weeks, causing me considerable angst, considering he had over $4k of my money! Finally showed up to start the job for real, will review, again, after the job is complete. 04/02/19 I was forced to fire him before job got completed [it has taken 4 months and many no-shows] due to his incompetence, shoddy work, non-responsiveness and not following building codes. I demanded a refund of at least half of the 4k I paid, which I doubt he will do outside a court of law. This person is ethically corrupt.

He is done approximately 25 items that are out of compliance with local building codes.This will basically require him to dissemble to products he is put up. Other contractors are providing me high quotes on what is required to fix it. It cost more than twice as much as my original estimate. REAR DECK FAILED INSPECTION ITEMS TO BE CORRECTED: Need grasp able handrail on stairs, posts need cross support, stairs are not wide enough, need riser covers on stairs, beams must be bolted to posts, posts are not level, beam is not straight, railings need top, ballasts are too far apart, need hurricane clips on joists, ledger board must be bolted to house, must connect posts with so no tubes mechanically. Landings are too short, joist hangers required on sistered joists, stringers need hangers, no nails in so no tube connectors.

In a business that we are at the mercy of the contractor like this, it was refreshing to know I was treated fairly and charged a very reasonable rate. Would recommend him in a second!
