Michael Thayer Painting

Michael earned over $200.per hour given the estimate he gave to paint two ceilings. He says he estimates by the project not by the hours. So, be aware that he is expensive. I was in a time bind and he did get the job completed as needed.

He showed up to bid the job, to pick up the deposit, and to pick up the final check. We gave him the wrong trim paint but his professional eye should have realized that the paint did not match the exterior Anderson door. When we pointed that out him he was sad that he missed that. We obviously have to live with it but when we called him two months after the job was done, we noticed that some of he house had uneven spray and the caulking was cracking. He said that the weather would be better in the summer so we waited but when we called him in the summer to return to fix the problem he said that he had talked to "someone" and that they should not have even done the caulking on Hardie Plank siding. So we paid extra to have a job that should not have been done. We have repeatedly emailed and texted him and our Paint Anniversary is coming up on one year. We hired his company on the reviews and his seemingly committed customer service, but, we remain unsatisfied and somewhat taken advantage of. Very disappointed in his dismissal of our valid concerns. His crew was efficient but we never saw him unless there was a check involved. He had a bigger commercial job to attend to but we believed that our job was just important. Ouch.

His crew were there when they said they would be and completed the job within a week and did an excellant job. I would definitely recommend them.

Michael and his crew, as well as doing a good job on the painting, also did needed repairs on the eaves, doors and fence. Much appreciated!

The reason I give them a 5 because I couldn't give them a 6. These guys were great! would recommend them again. My neighbors had their house painted by another person/company, and you can see the different and quality between the two houses. Very satisfied, hired with confident that it will be done on time and on budget.

Michael, Frank and Alan did an excellent job! Fast and thorough Workers, were here everyday early.

After cold calling many contractors in the area and getting no response I went through HomeAdvisor and Michael called right away and offered a competitive bid. He showed up right on time to the minute and was always available and in contact. A job well done. Thank you Michael and crew!

True professional and great customer service

Michaels workers were very efficient and polite. The job turned out excellent and I was very pleased. So much so, I have another large project for him and his team. Also, his pricing is very competitive.

His foreman kept wondering off from the job; parked vehicle in unauthorized space (by fire hydrant); trashed my foundation plants; told him not to stain certain area, but he did it anyway; failed to follow manufacturers instructions on application of stain (Michael assured me that "he knew about application of all stains!) I lived in a clustered townhome community. Later found out that foreman is a convicted felon.

In addition to doing excellent work, Michael did an outstanding job of keeping in touch with us, letting us know his schedule and plans given the recent rains. He and his crew arrived on time and completed their work in a timely and professional manner.

Showed up exactly on time for estimate meeting and work dates. Work was doner in less time than estimated, job cost less than estimated,and work was done well.

Did a very good job. I did however have to point out a few small details that needed some attention, they were quick to attend to my issues.

Michael is a true professional painter. His work is exceptional. He was always available and has a hard working staff. He was prompt efficient and excellent.

Everything was completed on time. All the employees were courteous. No mess afterward.

Refreshing to find a licensed contractor willing to accommodate small jobs, in this case, painting a front door. That being said, Michael and his associate were timely, courteous and (gratefully) neat. The finished product is first-rate and we couldn't be more pleased. Michael Thayer is the consummate painter. He is professional in every way. He arrives at your first meeting prepared to answer all your questions and concerns. As an artist, I had a difficult palette selected for our new home. Michael took on the challenge and produced a finished look that is impeccable. With vaulted ceilings his job was daunting. His lines and cut in edges are stunning. He always communicated his progress through videos sent to us daily. We cannot say enough about the beautiful home Michael has painted for us! Excellent quality and professional execution.
