Save yourself the headache and find another company. They are completely irresponsible. I paid them to install a new heating and cooling unit and it has been nothing but a nightmare. The unit(s) have been screwed up since day one. It has been consistently losing refrigerant since the day it was installed, which they do not seem to have an issue with. Also, when the unit shuts down or starts up, the outdoor unit makes a horrible screeching noise. Each tech that checks it out has a different reason why its screwed up, I have been offered by some techs to do off-the-books repairs. I have been told 1) that it is because I bought one of the cheaper units, 2) to just wait a few months, 3) that it is the line-sets and been told that there is nothing wrong with it. I have a warranty that includes labor, and they try to charge for a diagnostic fee each time they come out. I just do not have the patience to deal with them anymore and will probably have to get another company to come and service this unit.

I will start by saying their customer service representatives are always very polite and kind on the phone and have been the only good part of my experience with this company. I called them initially in April to get my standby generator in working order. 7 months later and over 2k spent it still has the same problem it had at the start. They do not seem to actually know how to fix it which seems strange as it is their job. They just kept throwing services at it and charging me. To make matters worse when I finally got the electrical department manager on the phone he was rude, accusatory, unhelpful and downright mean, then hung up the phone on me. I work in customer service and I would never speak to someone the way this man spoke to me, especially when his company has been unable to do the job they were hired to do and still has charged me. Worse, I called back to speak to an operations manager in the customer service center which went direct to voicemail. 5 days later still no answer. Worst customer service experience in my life. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY JOB.

Used them for an emergency plumbing repair they took advantage of me and charged $1498.00 for a repair to a flair that took them 20 minutes to repair.

Here is an example of the sloppy work done by Michael & Son. The electric panel work looks like it was completed by a fourth grade child and Im still not sure why they left live exposed electrical wires. Im positive there work will not pass inspect so I will have to get a real electrician to fix the sub par work which I paid thousands of dollars to Michael & Son.

This company is complete garbage. They replaced my AC unit in my condo and in the process removed multiple pieces of sheetrock that they did not even replace, forcing me to manually do the repairs. They did not even knock any money off the price even though they tore up my wall in the process of their repair. They also failed to screw in the covering of the unit appropriately. Very poor quality with this install. I recommend looking elsewhere for your home repair needs.

I contacted Michael & Son to repair my HVAC unit, which was only two years old, because our lines were freezing up. The first technician determined we needed more refrigerant, and we were charged $350. He didn't even stay long enough to determine if the issue was fixed. The lines froze again after he left so we called to have someone else come out. The next appointment was a no-show for a 10-12 window and I had to call after 12 when I didn't hear anything to reschedule. The following technician was over 3 hours late to our appointment. He couldn't figure out the issue and suggested that we may need to flush the system, but wanted to check if we had a warranty. After not hearing back I called the manufacturer myself and learned it had a 5-year warranty. After never hearing back from Michael & Sons we contacted another technician who quickly saw that the issue was that the coils were dirty, something that the first technician said he had checked. Not only am I out $350 dollars, my HVAC went un-repaired for almost a month. I am frustrated to have given money to a company with a blatant disregard for customer service and follow through. I tried to contact the company via phone and their website to resolve the issue but never got a reply. After filing a complaint with BBB they didn't even apologize or try to earn back our business. Don't waste your time with this company.

Michael and Sons charged my 91 year old mother $2300 for add-ons to her electrical system that were not necessary. The customer relations manager told me that the electrician said all the repairs were needed to bring the house to code, but in a second conversation said they were add-ons, so not needed to bring electrical system up to code. There is a note in their database that all work must be approved by me, but they did it without asking me, I only found out about the charge, by reviewing her credit card charges. Buyer beware!

Initially a leaky faucet turned into a whole new faucet. Probably necessary. But After damaging my sink, and destroying my soap dispenser, Their were no apologies. and the bill $750. was pretty outrageous for 90 minutes of labor.

The technicians were very polite and knowledgeable. We needed to replace some outdated light fixtures in our basement with brighter and more efficient lights, and they installed much better fixtures. They did great work!

Do not hire or even call for estimate. Needed to replace a window air conditioner. Upgraded to the 240-volt unit. Had electrician from Michael come out for an estimate. Went over and showed him what needed to be done. Gave an estimate of $230 for work and needed $89 for coming out. However, tech did not want to do the work w/out seeing specs of the new unit. Found specs on line. Tech still did want to proceed w/out seeing the new plug. Found picture of the plug but the tech said reschedule because needed to go to next job. Rescheduled for after unit delivered had the same tech come out to finish work. Now state that outlet would be another $70 and needed to install double breaker because used up 2 slots installing 240 volt/20amp breakers. Cost $170 more. Total for job $480. Looked up prices of equipment installed total $50. $430 for labor! That is not the worst of this. First time waited 5 hours for the tech to show. Told he was delayed at another job. Rescheduled for 8 am-12 pm time to actually do the work. Showed up at 3 pm. Took a total of 30 minutes to complete ripping me off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE
