When my husband and I made the decision to sell our existing home and purchase another we were concerned with getting someone to inspect our potential purchase. We knew we wanted a knowledgeable, thorough , and honest inspector. After our due diligence which included numerous aspects of social media and referneces we contacted three inspectors. After speaking with each we made arrangements to meet them in person. Hands down Michael was our choice. He took all our fears and tossed them out. His experience in construction and his down to earth, no sugar coating attitude made us feel so confident we made a sound decision. I must also tell you I am not a reviewer person. With that said this review means I was so moved to tell you to please contact Mike if you are looking for a home inspector. A home purchase is one of the most important decisions to make. Trust Mike to make your decision to purchase a sound one! SO happy we did.

Complete Home Inspection
Mike was on time and very personable. He's a likable man who says he has a broad spectrum of experience in the industry. However I had several issues with items in the house that should have been on the report. Rear deck boards are rotted. Inspector wouldn't write up as a deficiency. He said just refinish and seal it. Now I own the house and I have to replace them, not the seller. He ran the dish washer through a full cycle as noted in the final report. However, the water supply valve was hidden from view and the washer ran without water!! When I found the valve and we turned on it for a real wash cycle it overfilled due a faulty supply valve and put water on the floor. More expense for us for a deficiency not found during the inspection. I had to point out the rear deck stairs were built wrong and that was a fall hazard. He had passed them by. He measured the tread/rise and only then did he include it in the report.Finally something the seller was willing to repair and they are proper now. I questioned a transition from one type of flooring to another as a trip hazard but he was unwilling to talk about it or include it in the report. I saved money initially with his low price but will spend more than the savings on repairs for missed items. I have recently employed another agent for a house in the Gastonia area and it was a different experience. Being a licensed tradesman half my life I recognize a certain approach to the task at hand. Sorry I can't recommend this inspection service.

My husband and I are first time homebuyers and we're so happy we hired Michael for our first ever home inspection. Not only did he spend a long time doing the inspection, the report he provided us was so detailed. We didn't end up going with the first house we had inspected, but had Michael come back out and inspect a second house for us. He's very through and does a great job! Will definitely recommend him to friends and family needing inspections in the future.
