Without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. This includes roofers, mechanics, plumbers, concrete work, lawn care and all other services used in 40 years of owning this home. They have consistently misrepresented work done, dug five holes in my lawn that were 5 feet deep and about 4 feet wide which were unnecessary and could not be refilled for several days because they then filled with rain, promised deadlines then missed them, performed shoddy work, lied directly to my face about progress made or soon to occur and numerous other issues, hired a spectacularly incompetent engineering firm, Soil and Structure Engineering, and cost me thousands of dollars in ancillary costs. Arlington County has issued them a Notice of Violation regarding missing critical inspections, thus further delaying an already well over due completion, which, I might add, delayed getting a home improvement loan and costing me a favorable interest rate, which will impact the cost of this loan over 30 years. How much money will that amount to? And this does not address the heavy mental and emotional stress put on me and my family.

I felt they were too pushy, trying to get me to sign a contract with them, even after I told them I went with someone else, they pushed to come out and do another estimate and try to get me to sign with them.

I am a customer of Mid-Atlantic. We had a contract with them to install 2 sumps pumps and new drain tiles under our basement. Their product might work (after they thoroughly do the work) but a headache, lack of responsibility, and implication that they are not responsible for things in the contract pushes me to say. Do not use them. They are very pushy about getting everything paid before they finish the work. Like, I got calls from 2-3 receptionists, the salesperson, the project manager, and a few others. They had not scheduled to complete the work before they asked for the money (and sometimes a few times a day). They have salespeople (Matt) who are pleasant and make you feel confident about the product and workmanship. This was not our experience during execution. We were told there would be no contractors and that everyone was employed via Mid-Atlantic (one of our concerns as we wanted to ensure all workers were licensed and insured). MA employed contractors to complete the work. The salesperson is trying to make the sale and will say what he needs to sell the product.Mid Atlantic created three building permits for the work. One (the electrical) failed because they did not do what was stated on the permit. They never followed up with correcting the inspection (from September 27) and now, 4 months later, I am still trying to get them in the house to fix the electrical work. I am getting the attitude that this is not part of our contract and implying they are doing this to be nice. However, this is part of the sump pump installation. The receptionists, while tersely polite, are terrible to speak with. They are condescending and impatient on the phone as you try to ask them for help. They take their time in responding to you (the general wait is 2 days) and usually you end up speaking to 2-3 receptionists before anything happens. After the initial sump pump inspection, the workers did not turn the sump pump on (as owners, we had not yet been trained on the equipment). That night it rained and the whole basement flooded, worse than before installing MA materials. This fully ruined our belongings, including a mattress that was soaked through with water. We had them take $500 off our bill. After our basement Continued to flood, it took 2 months to get someone in the door to correct it - and only because I followed up repeatedly. There was one gentleman who understood my frustration but he's too busy to be really of service. The workers who came were sure - they all seemed to have a chip on their shoulder for having to come to the house again and again. Possibly if they had been through (finding and sealing cracks, not leaving the sump pumps unplugged, etc) they would not have had to come again. The workers take no care for your property. They ruined our lawn, dragging materials around it. Also, our salesperson Matt had stated that they would be cutting up the drywall, but did not say it was our responsibility to remove the debris (we had to ta

Work was scheduled before contacting us for a start date. The work was excellent and done in 2 days but we would have liked advance notice they were starting the next day. I would still recommend them anytime. We have used them years ago so we did not hesitate to use them again.

I got three estimates for French drain and mid-Atlantic was the most expensive. But they seemed much more competent and I was glad I spent the extra amount to get them. The work was done in two days. They were very professional and accommodating. And the drain seems to work so far!!

The company is one of many in this area that is more intent on selling canned solutions (frequently sump pumps) than solving the customer's problem. This seems to be a real problem in this area; I was relatively fortunate, losing "only" approx. $4000 for an un-needed sump pump solution. I rated customer service high as they paid for the drain cleaning which solved 90% of the problem. I am pursuing the remaining 10% by regrading the property.

They do not return phone calls. Finally someone came by to look at pipes still leaking they installed and was told they have to come back to do the repair. Why did I take off from work? Cleanup after the job was a little sloppy, and plastic barrier along walls could have been put behind plumbing pipes instead of over top of them to make it easier in case you have to ever replace plumbing.

Everything went well. We were satisfied with the results. Mid-Atlantic should have a worker who speaks English well enough to answer any questions the homeowner may have. Had to call the main office to ask any questions we had because none of the workers understood us.

Mid-Atlantic bumped their schedule to accommodate our flood emergency, were professional, courteous, and completed the job quickly. Moreover, they were thoughtful when it came to tracking in and out of the house, as well as leaving the work area tidy.

The scores for this contractor would be all 5's except for the basement started leaking after the work was completed, so i am waiting for a service call later this week to hopefully resolve this problem, and I hope it doesnt cost me anymore.

I was threaten by John, who refused to give his last name, with a lean on my house if I did not open my door for technicians after speaking with the sales rep. to RESCHEDULE for another date. The pump has been running none stop with no water dischared (reported 3 time without action) and I'm still waiting on the State inspector inspect the work performed. This has been the worst experience that I have ever had. I would not recommed this company to my worse enemy. If it were not for Mark Arledge and respectful crew, I would have cancelled the job all together. They receive 2 stars, one for Mark and one for the crew. The overall product stinks
