Mid Atlantic Waterproofing

The sales person was high pressure. To get you to go with them they offered a discount that had to be acted on while the sales person was in the home. The two day project took only one day and a great deal of cement dust was left behind for us to clean up. The amount of time to do the project indicated to us that the job was very over priced. We thought we were getting a wall flush but I don't see where that happened. The cement patch work along the basement wall is not level with the original floor, Anything placed against the wall needs to be shimmed to sit level. We were told that we would receive a project number a few days after the work was completed. This number is part of our warranty. As of this date, Mid Atlantic has not supplied us with our project number.

We really liked the way the work was preformed, and how quickly and correctly the work was completed. They were in and out in three days and there was no mess other than our own to clean up. The price was a little high, but when you want quality you have to pay for it.

Received initial call immediately upon inquiry. Very friendly and knowledgeable salesman. Scheduled immediately. Crew worked extremely hard, were very polite and friendly. Finished huge job in 4 days. Have small problem with first rain, but are coming to repair immediately. Very happy and excited after 8 years - no rain in my basement!!! Thank you Mid-Atlantic!

Work completed by crew efficiently and on time. My only complaint was the high pressure sales staff. We had already planned to have the work done so it did not impact our decision. The Sales Rep must moonlight at corner used car lots or a time share company. Extremely annoying

Workmen worked very hard to get the job done in 3 days. They clearly knew what they were doing. Hauling dirt and bricks in buckets up stairs in 85 degree heat was amazing. I hope they got their fair share of the cost of installation.

Costly repair but necessary. Everyone from salesman to workers very professional and knowlegeable. Time will tell if the mutli problems are resolved. I have no doubt they will. Like the life time warrenty this company offers

It has now been a year since we had the waterproofing of our basement waterproofed. I waited this long because with this type of repair I believe you have to wait and see if it did what it was supposed to do. Of course we have had a very dry summer but we have had several heavy rains when it did rain. Please note that the customer service is rated very low: this is only because I have no idea what it is like and no reflection on the actual company in that respect. So hear is what I think: First and for most our basement has stayed dry. However, we had a footer that they replaced all around the base of the walls. We did everything we were told to do and yet there are still numerous cracks in it. My concern is that these cracks will allow the concrete to break. We paid $20000.00 for this fix and now have cracks. Was it worth it? Well we are dry so that's good, but for the money I am very disappointed to see all the cracks! This survey gave me no way to give the answer for post work so all I can go on is pre. The flaw in this is that I can only comment on when they were trying to sell the product to me. I found the salesmen was somewhat arrogant and pushy. We went with this company because we only had 1 other prospect (who we would have gone with, by the way, but despite what the salesman from Mid Atlantic would have you believe, offered the same warranty but wasn't able to get to us in time and we needed the work done).

Sales rep very informative & clearly definitive regarding our basement condition and what they could do to the best of their ability to meet our concerns. Foreman & work crew punctual, focused, thorough and expedient. Cleanup a little shakey, but overall good effort. Would recommend their services to others.

Quality did not equal the price. The clean up was poor. Lots of dust left.

Do not be afraid of asking for a supervisor to go over your proposal. They have some writers that are in it for all they can get from you but if you see some red flags the management wants you be satisfied.

Don't be pressured into having the work done on their schedule. I had way too much "stuff: in my basement, that is now pushed to the center of the basement and even though is was covered with plastic, everything is covered with white dust. As far as the finished drainage work, I'm very pleased.

The crew were all very professional and on time each morning. They cleaned up completely every day. When they were digging the channels they found a problem with the install (my foundation) and came up with a solution at no extra charge to me. Before leaving for the day they would show me what they had done and let me know the plan for the next day. I used this company at my old house and was pleased with their work then.

Job completed as scheduled and I am satisfied with the work. The only thing I can comment on is that the new cement could have been smoothed out a little better especially where the new concrete meets the old concrete.

The men on the job worked hard and left everything clean when they were done. I can't wait till we have a heavy rain to see how this system works. I am happy with the workmanship and the guys were very well mannered. Remember to tell everyone to turn off their radon system before you open up the basement floor. In all we are happy with the work and excited about being able to use our complete basement as added space to our living quarters. Thank you Mid Atlantic.

The sales rep was pleasant. Getting a crew here when promised was a hassle. Delays, a no show one day and more scheduling delays. Once they got here the crew worked very hard. Did good work and a great job protecting our things and cleaning up when finished.

Although the job site "foreman" (Jessie) was very conscientious about the work being done, after the job was "finished" we discovered some damage to our walls that was unacceptable...

+The salesman was a little pushy, wanting a decision right away and offering all kinds of additional discounts for minor things. However, they were the only co. out of three that seemed to offer to do a complete, thorough job. They sent extra men to try to finish the job in one day but actually needed a second day. There were three surprises. 1. They did not tell me that to run the sump pumps, I needed an electrician to wire them to the box. 2. They said they would run the drainage pipes out the back but actually ran them through the side. 3. They added alot of stone to the bottom of the crawl space which lowered its height. All in all though

They were very informative started the install within a couple of days and finished on time. The workers were very hard working and we had no problems with anyone, Mid Atlantic Waterproofing is highly recomended.

Job went smooth in one day. Wondering about after job is done. Is this company reliable? Back-up battery failed! Questioning the operation of the back-up batteries on the sump pump when we had a 14 hour outage. Called company, made a request about back-up battery function but got no help.

The work was done very quickly and professionally, and the cleanup was great. A few of the "niceties" like the demustification process were not completed. Also one sump pump was not connected properly - I am comfortable that they will correct the problem, but anyone hiring this company should keep in mind that all work - including corrections and repairs - are done during "normal" Monday - Friday hours; plan to take time off or have someone at your home if you need anything done. They will not accommodate evenings or weekends even to correct their own work.
