Mid Iowa Concrete, LLC

We hired this company at a recommendation from a co-worker. BIG mistake. Hugo is not professional, he and his team are sloppy, they made a huge mess in my driveway (holes from stones and skid loader) while pouring concrete for our patio. They didn't even try and clean all the ground in slop from their feet and concrete all over. It is a stamped patio. They tried to rush the job knowing that it was going to storm but they went ahead with it anyway. They let the concrete get too dry while stamping it and left holes and air under the stamping. They barely had time to seal the patio when it down poured. We immediately let Hugo Morales (the owner) know that the rain washed all the sealant away. He sent a person over a couple weeks later to finally reseal. They asked a person that didn't know how to seal it, do it. They put only one small gallon of sealer on the patio. Needless to say by the time winter came around, water got into the holes and lifted the stamping up in many areas. They didn't pitch it correctly and water sits in puddles on the patio causing scaling. We made contact with Hugo immediately and he said once winter passed he would be out to look at the patio. We sent pictures and he said it was salt. We told him we don't use salt because of our two dogs. That was last December and he has not tried at all to get out and look at his mess. We sent numerous texts, calls and now he just doesn't answer. The same coworker told Hugo we wanted answers and for him to come out and he told him to mind his own business. Hugo is shady and we should have guessed that right away because he asked for half of the $14,000 that he charged us in cash so he didn't have to pay taxes on it. I heard it with my own ears. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

They gave us a very competitive price and were on site when they said they would be and cleaned up, I am very happy.
