DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Mid Michigan Renovations FROM CLIO MICHIGAN. The owner Scott lies and refuses to answer calls once he has your money! He cashed our check for the deposit on our bathroom remodel, then rescheduled with us four times for the start date. Every time he would say "tomorrow at 930am" then tomorrow would come and he would never answer calls or communicate. When he would, he'd TEXT back at 6pm or 8pm, stating he "needs one more day, I can start tomorrow at 930am." This happend four times. That's four different days of rescheduling, canceling plans/work, finding people to run my kid to school, so one of us could be there at the house... just to sit, for nothing. Once he agreed to give us our money back, he promised seven times to meet up to issue us a refund, and was a no show every single time. He would usually text saying he couldn't make it that day, after the scheduled meet time, then make another promise for a different date. At last he claimed he mailed a check out, we waited another nine days, no check. Then he responded to meet up and finally give our deposit back in cash. This happened, after a month of demanding a refund, 'ringing his phone of the hook', false promises, a phone call from the local police department and threats of our attorney. Another couple, in Clio MI, had been stuck with a half of deck built for over 5 months, and they just got their money back the same day we did. We were in constant contact with each other. Scott knew we were going to combine cases if need be. That may have lead to our refunds being issued, or he finally got paid for a big job, and he could afford to pay us back. I can't say that he was scamming us or just using our money to pay for other jobs. Either way he seemed to have no remorse for the inconviences he caused each of our families, because he continued to make the same excuses and broken promises to us, as well as the Clio couple. The man who runs this company is a lying, inconsiderate, shady "Contractor" Please be beware of how he runs his business, his lack of morals and his terrible customer service!!!
