The project was terrible from the start! We met on April 9th and verbally went over everything we wanted done on the project. He stated that he had been working with mold for years and does a two-part mold remediation whereby he would go into the attic and spray to kill any mold spores, and then later, when that is dry, apply a sealant to seal it. This was very important to us, as my husband is a disabled Veteran and has COPD, and we wanted it treated properly. He stated he had many years of experience and knows how to kill it properly. He stated that he would do the soffits and the eaves that were painted over, as we stated that we had 8 different contractors bid the job, who told us that there wasn't adequate ventilation in the attic due to the soffits being painted over and the blown in insulation being put over the soffit area. We stated that we needed new gutters and downspouts, as ours were in bad shape. He stated he was running a special where the gutters and downspouts would be free if we went with him for the roof job. We went over every aspect of the job verbally, and I stated that we needed everything we covered in writing in a quote. I stated from the beginning that I didn't want ANY work to start until after we had a written quote. He stated when we met on April 9th that he would get it to me by Friday, April 11th. Then, on April 11th, he wrote and stated that there was an emergency with his grandkids and that he wouldnt be able to get it to us on the 11th, but that he would get it to us " first thing in the morning" the next day on the 12th. We didnt get it on the 12th because he stated he didnt come home that night, but stated " i had my wife look on my laptop this morning so the roof with discount 22,600 and to put wood baffles in and replacing wood and getting rid of mold and putting new insulation where we removed the bas was $2278. I will deliver your paperwork (quote) the first part of the week." That would have put it on April 14th or 15th...but no paperwork ever came! We then discussed financing, and I told him that I could only get 20k for the job. He stated that he reworked the numbers and was able to reduce the cost to 22,362, and we could just make payments with no interest until the 2362 is paid off. I stated that I would like to go with his company, but that I would like a contract that we could both sign before any work starts. He stated that the dumpster would be there on Tuesday, April 22nd, and the materials will be on the roof on Wednesday or Thursday. STILL NO CONTRACT! On Friday, April 18th, I stated, " We are going to need a quote in writing listing everything that we discussed that you will be doing, please. The scope of work, materials, etc. Right now, we have nothing but text. We gave a large check to you based on a text, and hopefully, you can see how uneasy that could make anyone. You stated that you would be emailing me a quote on the 11th, then the 12th, but we still have 't received anything. They did not even get a permit to do the job.

The owner called about the job before i could even finish my home advisor request. They came out the same day gave me an instant quote, and in less than 4 days they came back to finish the job. They were responsive and prompt in providing for the removal of the tree in my backyard. The staff who removed the tree took into consideration the size of the tree, the small yard, and the proximity of other houses and wires. They cleaned up the yard afterwards. Their price was competitive. I would highly recomend their services.

I hired Marc to remove a tree and grind down a stump and I paid them cash for the work, then we noticed that the stump was not ground properly, we called them and they told us that is the best they could and we paid them $1100

"I guess I don't understand this review because we did this job sometime ago and we put everything in a pile as he ask us to and right were he wanted it he said he was going to burn the brush everything was all racked up as well we always take the time to make everything looks cleaner when we leave then it was when we got there !"

I wasn't happy when they cut a limb off my tree and it fell and hit the railing on my pool. They promised to replace the railing but it hasn't happened yet. This happened in October. We called them and they said they have the railing and would be out next week but that week came and gone with no railing. Not even a call to let me know what is going on. So they can't even call me?

"we did have a branch hit railing and we did make it right and fixed everything back to the way it was everything was replaced it did take sometime because railings were not being made anymore but we spent sometime and found some in a warehouse and bought them and went back and fixed everything !!!"

The entire job was done quickly and for a reasonable price. They put us on the schedule of jobs just as they said they would, which meant they finished the job the week after we hired them. They cleaned up after themselves too. They were careful cutting branches that were located over a tree that we wanted to save. Very happy with their work.

Extreme lack of communication. Initially hired them to take down a tree and trim back some others. Had to contact them several times to find out when the job would happen. Kept on getting the next week bit. The weeks would come and go with no communication from them. I finally had enough and canceled the job on October 13 with the guy who came out in the beginning and gave me the quote and hired a new company and they told me they would be out on Monday the 15th at around 8am. On the 15th I went to work and the wife was home and she called me to let me know the guys were there, that was around 9am. So about an hour later I get a call from the second company I hired and they told me they were running late. The original company that I canceled the job with was there starting to cut down the tree. I told them that I canceled the job with this Greg who came out with the guy I'm now speaking with thats at my home cutting down this tree. He told me that Greg was fired about 1 week prior! There is so much more to this than what I mentioned.

"This is not true we talk with mr Nicholas first thing in the morning and he said to go ahead with job so we did he weighted tell we were 75% done then he called us when we were working and just about done and started cussing and said to leave or he was calling the cops so we talk with his wife and we tuck $ 250 of his bill she had us get everything done and was very happy and give us a check in the mean time he called again and said some not nice words so we ended the phone call its like he was mad about having to pay for the work and like I said he told us that same morning to do the job so we did don't no what was wrong with him and the truth of it it was not canceled I think he did this to get money of his bill and we did take the $250 off that he was cussing about we did a real good job we do 48 to 50 jobs a mouth and get a lot of tips because everyone is happy but always get 1 out of a hundred that don't matter what you do or give them for free you cant make them happy no matter how hard you try why would you tell us that morning to do the job then call when we are almost done and say you have some one else to do it $250 cheaper ?????"

I had an extremely large black walnut tree next to my home with large limbs hanging over the top peak. Mid Michigan tree trimming service took great care in every cut to protect my home. The crew is a very hard working group,maintaining excellent workmanship through this removal.

They told me they were going to climb the tree and cut it that way, instead they brought in a bucket truck and drove over my septic field leaving lawn damage. Didn't clean up good and left holes in the yard. Wrote out a receipt on notebook paper and didn't even sign it. Would not hire again!

"(1) we did not deal with Thomas we worked for his wife. He was not there when we did the job, (and we did not drive on his septic ), and we did not leave marks in his yard; couldn't even tell we drove in the yard. (2) The yard was raked, and all that was left were tiny tree trimmings. (3)This was in the contract that was wrote up and signed before we even started the job. All in all his wife was very pleased, she was very pleasant to work for."

They cut down the tree but left behind a large limb leaning across my neighbor's fence and into his vegetable garden knocking down one of his stalks of corn. (I didn't notice it until they had left) They also told me that they had forgotten the stump killer (part of the job they quoted) and would have to come back the next day to finish. The job was mostly finished so I paid them. Big mistake. They did not show up the next day as promised and did not return any of my multiple phone calls. I was persistent and kept calling until somebody finally answered and was told they would be "back in my area" the following Thurs and Fri and would stop by to finish up and take away the wood they left behind. Never showed up. Once again, I repeatedly called until I got a hold of somebody and basically the same story with the same no-show, no-call result. I finally gave up and finished the job myself.

"The trees we took down were very small, maybe 6" around and were tangled in a fence, we got them down and was no wood they were small and put the two small trees through our chipper and our salesman went back a couple days later and called me. When he got there and said she was not home so I told him to put the stump killer on the stumps anyways, then she call and talk with me about it and said she would like to know how much to grind the two little stumps. I told her she was two hours away from us but if she could wait for us to get back in that area which would be a few weeks we would stop in for $50 but could not drive all the way there for that. She said that would be fine and she only called two times and we spoke with here every time ! and there was no garden and it was her fence and she had us take the fence down because she told us she having a new one put up!"
