Had some challenges in communicating and getting a final commitment but he is having some issues with employees. He does a great job, goes above and beyond. I will hire him next year.

Mike does not guarantee his work. My fire pit has cracks in the mortar, metal insert is bowing, no vents were put in and surrounding pavers are cracked. I'm angry that you call him leave a message and he never returns your call. He takes your money, but doesn't seem to care if it's a professional job. Honest? NO

Wants a down payment way in advance. I do not like handing over money until the job is completed.

Mike doesn't return calls or texts. Mike schedules appointments and doesn't show up. I paid him to build me a firepit last fall. I called him in April 2017 because the mortar was cracking, the metal insert is bowing in and has no vents. It's a terrible thing to take someone's money and not stand by your work or word! I wouldn't recommend Midwest Foundation Repair to anyone

Very knowledgable! Explained a lot about our chimneys and their current condition. Made repairs right in the spot after the inspections and repairs that he felt we could do on our own he explained how to make them! So glad we used him!

Mike came, looked at the chimney and only told us what really needed to be done - he didn't try to say it was worse than it was so he could make more money. In fact he told me some of the things I thought needed to be done really didn't He was honest, very hard working and his work reflected that. I am very please with his quality of work done and it showed that he took great pride in his work. I would recommend him to anyone who needed chimney work done. Excellent job!!! I have to downgrade their company since I hired them on June 17, 2017 to do some chimney work he didn't have a chimney cap on his truck and he said he would be back the following day to finish the work. Well Its now been almost 3 weeks and I have tried to contact them repeatedly to get the cap on - which I already paid them to do and nothing. I have heard all the excuses and have been very patient but now I am very upset with this company I would no longer recommend them and its to bad as the work he did do was very good but come on FINISH MY JOB.

Other than the fact that I couldn't pay by credit card the experience is going fine so far. If I had known about not being able to use credit for payment before spending days getting this going I would have looked elsewhere for the service. As it is I have a tight time crunch so it is what it is, not happy with that.

Professional, effcicient, competent men, and friendly as well: couldn't have found better people to repair and clean our chimney!

Mike and his son did a great job cleaning and inspecting my fireplace. They went above and beyond to fix a latch on the fireplace doors, and were very informative as to a basement water issue I have. Would highly recommend them!

Update from my previous review: customer service was great. However, when we went to,use the woodstove this fall we trusted the end of season sweep and inspection performed by this company in fact did not completely clean out the chimney, and damaged our liner, as pieces of our liner were in the cleanout of our chimney. I don't believe they intentionally tried to leave us unsatisfied, I think we should have checked their work before they left. Unfortunately, we have a nice fire department bill and get to reline our chimney now. We will just research companies better this time, and be sure to check all aspects of the job before they leave.

Very Professional, knowledgeable & instructive. Provided expert advise as proceeded with the inspection and cleanout. Fixed several items neglected or forgotten by original installer of chimney. Went out of his way to even clear out the roof vents that were covered in snow on a cold afternoon, much appreciated. Very friendly and personable. Will definitely use them again.

This was just for a chimney inspection for a house recently purchased. An honest, professional inspection was performed giving good advice without overdoing the delivery.

Had to wait for them to show up at the site just a bit longer than I expected. Hard worker. Good job.

Project estimated at $15k in April, paid half in advance then, scheduled to start in May. Never showed. Finally was able to contact them in june rescheduled at least six times, never showed. Now not accepting or returning calls. Beginning legal means to get our money back. Clearly not recommended..

Mike the owner came out and did the work. Ran out of time but promised to return to finish and clean the roof from the cement drippings. Numerous times I have tried to contact him and have not heard back. Watch out for this guy he will take your money! Stay away or don't pay until the work is complete. His word means nothing.
