Retaining Wall Installation
I hired Midwest Retaining Wall INC to tear out an existing railroad tie wall that measured over 7' tall and 185' long. They replaced the old wall with limestone boulders. The new wall looks and performs great! The owner runs a tight ship with an excellent crew of men. They're very knowledgeable, clean cut, always on time, with a noticeable work ethic. The estimated job competition date was 2 days early and the finished product looks amazing! This is the second time in 15 years that I've used Mr. Ramsey to install large retaining walls and each time exceeded my expectations! I would recommend Midwest Retaining Wall to anyone.

Kirk and Justin along with their crew did a fantastic job. I was more than pleased with their work. They are worth every penny and I received a very professional job on 7 different retaining walls that I had them install. One was over 98 feet long and they did expeditious and professional jobs.. they won’t be beyond what I asked them to do and I was very pleased. Very professional outfit.

I hired Kirk and his crew to tear out a rotten retaining wall that backed up to a creek. It was not an easy location to work and the guys did an amazing job. The new retaining wall is incredible. Kirk and his team went above and beyond. I highly recommend them for any retaining wall projects!

Kirk Ramsey is a crook. Do not hire. He built a retaining wall that fell apart and a patio that flooded my house. Cost me 100k. He declared bankruptcy to avoid paying for the damages. DO NOT HIRE

"Mr (Consumer name removed ) had a preexisting flooding issue on his back porch, that had nothing to do with our retaining wall. The wall was installed 20ft away from the back porch which clearly drained towards his back door where water entered his home. The wall we built did not fall apart and still remains, its in great condition (Consumer name removed ) knew about the flooding when I brought it to his attention. We witnessed water pooling up at his back door on the first day of his project. He?s the crook, ask his neighbors!"

Kirk took the time upfront to explain what he was going to quote and along the project answered any questions I had. We had some stormy days where his crew couldn't work but they did the best they could to secure the site. The few times I was home and talked to the guys they were polite and worked hard.

We had some stormy days where his crew couldn't work but they did the best they could to secure the site so the dirt wouldn't be washed away. Even half done the new wall seemed to work better than my old rotted railroad tie wall during a couple stormy days. A few times I was home when his crew was there and they were polite and hard working. The new Versa block wall looks great.

We loved them! Had a beautiful extinction on our original patio, made of flagstone, then he designed a pondless waterfall with surrounding gardens, he is coming back in the Spring to put in the plants. Also he will be doing the trees and gardens in front of the house. It was a big job, had a few problems, but he managed to work them out in a timely manner. He is willing to work with you and any ideas you might have. I would highly recommend Kirk and his company.

Kirk was excellent. Showed up when he said he would and did amazing work putting in a French drain. I’m pretty sure it took more work than he initially thought, but never asked for more money. Had a little issue with payment as he was switching credit card companies, but he went above and beyond to make it right. I’d hire him again in a New York minute.

Kirk came and and spent considerable time looking over project before getting started. His final quote was reasonable compared to others I had received. He offered up a suggestion on block color and style for the wall. Project was completed in a timely manner and looks great. Would recommend to others.
