Mike Redding General Contracting

We Hired Mike to install drywall mud and tape a bare bedroom with just studs exposed so the room could be painted. we had an agreement he said four days and $1200. he said he would work six hours each day. told me he could start Wednesday 11/20 he agreed Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and it would be done. I talk to him Friday and he said he wanted 3/4 of the money even though I provided all of the materials (drywall tape mud screws even the lift) and tools. I told him he could have all of it when it was done Saturday. he said he doesn t work Saturday it ll be done next Monday11/25 it s now been 10 days of him dropping off his helper for 3-4 hours at a time and we re on the following Friday11/29. the work is horrible, there are holes everywhere, tape is showing, edges aren t finished, it s an absolute nightmare. he called me and asked me when we could square up I told him it looked terrible and he wasn t done yet and he hung up on me. I continue to try to call him to reason with him to get them to finish the job he said he would do and now he will not answer my phone calls. do not I repeat do not use this contractor. Left a job unfinished and has delayed our project and holidays. I m also now left nervous because he seemed very angry. Home advisor needs to do a better job of vetting their contractors. The only reason I used him is because I thought this site helped weed out the cob jobbers and scammers.

Nice man, but for the money paid not spent well. Things have to be redone, etc. Installed broken window springs did not work out of the box but still installed it... Not hip on using or fixing cold spots even though they bought insulation during one of our shopping trips and advised that we wanted to make the home warmer in winter... Rebuilt a wall but between this wall were holes in floor did not fix, just reframed wall so now needs to be redone to fix this problem... Never came back to finish or return house keys, just kinda left the job, no clean up, I had to do my self... Sad to write this review, as I liked Mike, but it is what happened!

Mike is punctual and cleans up the work area when done and quotes reasonable prices which he sticks to.

Mike was here everyday on time to do the job. I hired Mike to do some taping and painting my ceilings and repair about 10 tiles and Sheetrock in bath. Mike has to finish taping and painting, due to the dampness, the taping wasn't completely dry. Mike had other jobs scheduled and will return to finish. I respect that his customer was counting on him and he had to be there to do their job. Mike explained everything to me, was neat and cleaned up after himself. I am hiring him for another job next month. Well done Mike!

Impressed, he called 10 minutes after I posted my request on Home Advisor. He worked carefully and diligently.

Mike installed a concrete pylon and post under a porch that I am repairing. Mike is thorough and efficient. He was flexible with planning ideas and schedule. He got the job done earlier and less expensive than anticipated.

In a period of 5 hours, Mike did carpentry to totally reframe a casement window, masonry to fix a crumbled area in my foundation, dry wall repairs on a screened in porch ceiling and touch up finishing on my hard wood staircase. Great job.

Charged by the hour, took 2 and a half hours to put in a bedroom door.

He's an excellent contractor, I will be hiring him again
