Mike's Family Electric ... very considerate. He was to install a wired Ring alarm/video system for us. This house was built in 1975 and totally not square. The space for the alarm to be set was so tight and nearly no excess to inside studs, he had no method to drill into the walls. He and us agreed that it was not to be hard wired. He explained the problem to us and because we understood the quirkey methods used when this house was built.

Mike was on time and did very good work. Courteous and professional. He was more than fair on what he charged me for the projects he completed. Will definitely use again in the future if needed. Would highly recommend.

They found my problem and fixed it to bring wiring up to code. Very friendly and when they left for the day all was cleaned up. Came on time when said and told me what they were doing so I could understand. Very nice & would have them back again if needed

So bottom line, we are a young, queer couple, and we did not feel respected by Mike. He did not communicate the things that are Vital for safety. He did the job we asked him to do, and the electric is working well. I had my dad (a tall white man) come over so that maybe Mike (also a tall white man) would take us more seriously. I really didnt like his customer service. He was quick to get defensive over text or in person, and I really did not enjoy having to interact with him over phone or text. He didnt tell us when he was going to come by and tear down part of our fence. Didnt tell us when it was done. Good thing we werent dog sitting at that moment, because the fence goes straight to a main road, and it was around the corner so i would only have seen it after the dog was in the yard. He later argued over text that he had never heard anything about a dog, and therefore it was not a misstep on his part to not inform us when our fence was down (literally 4-6 panels removed). He left cigarette butts in our yard, assuming that if it is ok to smoke in the yard, then it is ok to leave his butts there. Afterward I texted him about the cigarette butts in the yard and he argued that I said it was ok to smoke. So he didnt seem to understand the difference between smoking and leaving trash in my yard. Bottom line, I would not recommend him to anybody unless he was the only option. I wont be hiring him again. Luckily it is a one time job to fix the electric. I appreciate that the electric is not a fusebox anymore. And i did not appreciate having Mike at our house or having to interact with him.

He was on time, began by listening to us , then started to work immediately. He cleaned up at the end of their day and showed up on time for the second day. He kept us informed and included us in all decisions. All in all, he was fair, worked quickly, and did not overcharge us. I would recommend him.
