After reviewing a search on HomeAdvisor for tree trimming companies, I called Mike's Tree Service because of the excellent reviews. Surprisingly, Mike answered the phone himself, and while it sounded like he was outside at the time, and probably on another job, he took the time to listen to what I needed done and we scheduled a time for him to come by to provide an estimate. He came by the next day and reviewed the 9 trees I wanted trimmed plus the 4 I wanted cut down and removed. He seemed very knowledgeable and gave me some information about a couple of trees that I was concerned about. His quote was very reasonable, so after meeting with 2 other companies, we selected Mike for the job. When I called Mike to offer him the work, he scheduled it for the following week, which was exactly what I had hoped for. Mike and his crew of 4 guys showed up on time, and immediately went to work. After each tree was trimmed Mike would ask me if I was satisfied with how the tree looked, or if I wanted anything else done. My husband and I both were involved at this stage, in providing feedback about what else we wanted done - which might have been a distraction or irritant to another person, but Mike never seemed annoyed and worked on each tree until both of us were satisfied. Both he and his crew were extremely professional and they ensured that the work site was completely clean before they left, including removing oranges from our pool that had fallen in during the trimming. Overall, my husband and I were totally satisfied with the end result and would not hesitate to call Mike again in the future when we need his services.

Amazing person to work with, highly recommend!

We had 4 really tall fan palms removed from our backyard. Mike's price was over 30% lower than 2 other quotes I received. Mike provided me with his certificate of insurance. I thought it would be an all day job but they were finished in 4 hours! Plywood was put against the block fencing to protect the stucco. Everything was cleaned up, nothing was damaged. The crew did an amazing job and were very friendly. We'll be hiring them in the fall to trim a tree in our front yard. We have already given Mike's card to our neighbor. I definitely would recommend them.

I am appalled by the final look of my oleander Mike trimmed. It was NOT shaped and thinned, it was HACKED UP. I could have done a better job myself! He did not even bring a blower to clean up and used loppers for the whole job. He seemed in a hurry and went way too fast and never got down from the wall he was standing on to look at the tree. I had already had a cheaper quote from another company and cancelled him as Mike sounded as tho he knew his work and had good reviews....WRONG!! Don't believe what you read online. He also changed days twice at the last minute. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Did an outstanding job, arrived on time and finished early, did everything to my specifications. Solid value for the price/quality of their work. If all you want is to trim/shape trees, Mike is the best choice---I had 2 other bids but they also wanted to fertilize and use different crews for each step of the process, which would have taken several days with a lot of mess. I became convinced that it wasn't worth it. Mike is a small business with Mike the cutter and his one crew of 2, who all spoke English. He completely finishes your job before going to the next one. I may make this an annual visit for Mike's crew. Don B., Scottsdale

Gave neighbor ultimatum to remove giant pine tree dangerously leaning over our home, and urgently needed quote to carry out the work, which Mike promptly gave. Neighbor acquiesced, but was so impressed with Mike, gave him 15 mature trees at our small commercial building. He priced it fairly, and the work is beautiful. We do not favor stripping branches leaving only the tips, but prefer "lacing" which takes a more studied eye and skill. Mike accomplished this when he said he would and left no debris in the area. Mike's Tree Service is the real deal.

Above and beyond! Trimmed a couple trees hanging over into our yard. Cut a large tree to a stump, stacked the wood where we needed it to be, impeccably cleaned up! Well done Mike and crew. I will be calling with more work for you guys. Thank you!

Mike and his team were prompt, courteous, pleasant, professional and efficient. They followed our instructions concerning locking our gates when finished, what we wanted the yard to look like after the tree removal (perfect!); they were quick and not only cleaned up all of the tree mess, but they also went above and beyond by cleaning up some of our other debris without our asking them to do so. They neatly stacked all cut trees appropriately in the alley for removal and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely call upon Mike again and highly recommend him to others.
