Dishonest

He (Kevin Miller) quoted me $15000 to do a basement upgrade. He said he required half up front and the rest on completion. July 31 we gave him $7500 cash. He did not show on the day he was supposed to start, he did not answer his phone, texts and could not leave messages on his phone. He showed up several days later said he had family problems. On the days he did show up he only worked a couple hours, the were many days he did not show at all. On my second call to the Homeadvisor complaint line I found out from their rep I was speaking with, Nayeli, that he does not have any license (contractor or otherwise). I had to call an AC repair as my head quit working only to find out it was full of cement dust caused by Kevin and his friend drilling holes in my basement floor right next to my AC and not covering the unit or telling me to turn it off while they were drilling, that repair cost me $480. Now my basement has huge holes in the cement floor, there is a couple of walls that have been framed out, There is cut up lumber all over the floor with sawdust everywhere. He still has my $7500 , and of course we have not seen over heard from him. Stay well away from this guy, Kevin Miller, he will take your money, not complete your job, not show up to work on your job, and leave your home damaged . I am contacting the appropriate licensing boards, Better Business Bureau and Homeadvisors BBB representative.
