We feel that we, although small, are as qualified, professional, and competitive as anyone you could possible have work for you. We had 3 different things done and it took over a day to complete them all. We put in shut-offs at a sink and a new ejector pump in our basement. The biggest project was installing a water heater. We were replacing an old gravity system and went with a power vent. We selected a hybrid water heater as it sound like the best option for us and is supposed to be very energy efficient. Not sure yet on the efficiency, but the heater is on the highest temp setting and we cannot even fill a bathtub with hot water. There are only two of us in the house and it doesn't seem like it can keep up. The technician was very courteous, but he had not installed one of these hybrids before. This was not a cheap unit and we are not happy with it. Update: After my initial review, MN Plumbing and Heating sent a technician to look at our water heater. He agreed based on my assessment that the heater should be performing better. He checked all of the settings, verified the water temp and the flow rate. Everything checked out with that so he looked at our faucets. We have a bathroom that hasn't been remodeled yet and has old faucets. Sure enough the tub faucet has a very high flow rate that basically will not allow any water heater to keep up. Thanks for coming back out and taking the time to verify the installation and explaining the situation!

I have used this contractor in the past. They do excellent work. However, on a recent hot water heater replacement, they took me to the cleaners. The tank I got is worth $600. It took about two hours to install, if I'm being generous. The bill was $1805. That works out to $600 per hour. I will not use this contractor again.

"Dear Sir, Thank you for your message and as I replied on your Facebook message. We believe that our pricing is market related and if you get a price from a reputable company that is significantly cheaper we are willing to credit you that difference. I understand that it might appear to be expensive if you compare box store pricing with ours, but its not only labor that goes into it. We don't normally do this but i'm going to give you a full breakdown of your service. The water heater of $600 is the advertised price at a box store that we cannot compete with, when you purchase it you have to pay tax of about $42 dollars which brings it to $642. We have to purchase a permit for all our installations which is $100. We have to add 2 new dielectric unions to all water heaters which is $80. We have to change the discharge pipe which is $40. That's a total of $862 cost price.David our plumbers total travel time was 44 minutes. he worked on your property for 3h59 which would be total of 5 hours without overhead of the company would work out at $188.60 per hour. Now if we gave you a 0.5 star service I will accept a 0.5 star rating, but I don't feel its fair that we should get this rating for the exceptional service we offer and being rated 0.5 star on the basis of price alone."

Hired them before without issue. Didn't check actual bill until looked at Visa, bill was for $383 for an hour's work. If I knew they charged that much never would have done it.

I already knew the old heater was leaking from the side because a technician from the company who originally installed it had confirmed it. However, as that company no longer installed that manufacturer, they refused to honor the warranty, and I had to find someone else to help; enter Minnesota Plumbing & Heating. Instead of charging me more money to re-diagnose the issue, I was put on the phone with Paul, who took me at my word, answered all of my questions and set up service to replace the old leaking heater including installing a disaster pan. The permit inspector complemented the work done. We have a lot of confidence in the service we received and will definitely use Minnesota Plumbing & Heating again.

I actually had a new garbage disposal installed/replaced. The service tech, Gary, was absolutely one of the best I've ever dealt with. He was professional, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and honest. The customer service representative I dealt with to schedule the appointment was friendly, efficient, and easy to work with. If every service call with Minnesota Plumbing and Heating goes like this, I can't possibly see why they would have anything less than 5 stars. A job very well done, and I will be referring your services to others that I know (and most likely using you for other services). Thank you!!

I rec'd next day service, which was surprising, though the communication regarding the arrival time could have been a bit better. Also no mention was made that the installer would not be able to bring the toilet upstairs without help, so my 74 year-old father in law had to help, as he was the only one home.

The plumber came out to install a water heater and told me he couldn't do it because of a problem with my plumbing. He suggested I call his boss, which I did. I asked if they could provide any suggestions for how to resolve my plumbing problem (which I agree I had), and Paul said he'd call me back, which he didn't. I feel like the $300 they charged was high considering all they did was tell me I had a plumbing problem and they didn't over any advice as to how to fix the problem.
