Minuteman Building Services, LLC

We hired Minuteman Building Services, LLC on 11/16/19 to paint our parking lot stripes, and as of today, 12/09/19, approximately three weeks later, the stripes are peeling up and cracking. The workmanship was shoddy. The rep that we called to complain immediately began making excuses. The stripes were virtually nonexistent when Minuteman painted the new stripes, having been painted many years before, and the rep said that the old paint must have been latex. Well, so what? He is the professional, not us. We have no idea what the old contractor used but it lasted a long time so it could not have been too bad. Any painter worth his salt knows you do not use oil based paint on top of a latex paint. We asked him to come fix the problem and the rep said to back bill the contractor that painted the stripes before. That was at least 15 years ago, and we do not have records back that far. The fact is that Minuteman painted the stripes a little over three weeks ago, and the paint is coming up. Anything else is just an excuse. He said he would come out and grind the stripes down and repaint the strips. Full price for the grinding, and full price for the repainting. I said I would pay for the grinding, then he needed to repaint at his expense. He said we were too remote to discount his pricing. If we are remote, and we are not, we are just outside Beltway 8 and the SW Freeway, he should not have taken the job to begin with. I then said I would split the difference and pay half of the painting. At this point, it is just not worth it. The bill was not that expensive, and it is a lesson learned. I did not get what I paid for, and I will never use, and never recommend, Minuteman for any repair work whatsoever. If you choose to, you do it at your own risk. Minuteman Building Services, LLC, painted our parking lot stripes 23 days ago and the stripes are already coming up. Minuteman did not stand behind their guarantee. They made excuse after excuse, and wasted our time trying to get them to do the job right. That is all you really have to know.

I hired Minuteman to paint my home, they just finished up and everything worked out great. The paint looks good, they completed the work on time and only had minor issues where they had to come back out but they are fixing that. Great company

We just had our patio done and I can say that we are disappointed with the finished product. It was a rough finish and it does not look like it was done by a professional. There are lots of rough edges and paint was not evenly distributed. Communication with the contractor is also difficult. When you talk to him, he seemed very knowledgeable but when it's time to execute, he would do something that is completely different. They also need to be monitored closely because a lot of important details they would have missed if we didn't notice it ahead of time. They stalled the project, took them 10 days instead of 3-4 as planned. So disappointed.

Ken is a nice guy and he puts forth the effort, but I would hesitate before asking him to perform the work again. I chalk it up to learning how concrete treatment is applied.

We were looking for someone to do an acid wash on our concrete floor in the living room. They provided us with the information we needed, provided a quote, then also recommended we have our decks power washed and stained. The price was very good, the service excellent, and the work crew friendly and professional. We had to call them back to fix something on the concrete floor which they did promptly. Very satisfied and would recommend them.

This contractor is dedicated, conscientious, and does quality work. They threw in adding knobs to my cabinets without increasing their bid. They picked up the tile I ordered from a warehouse for the backsplash. Installing the concrete acrylic counters takes many hours of applying layers, sanding, and waiting for it to dry. They put paper on the floor and cabinets to protect them from the dust. I appreciate their courtesy and Ken's communication and explanation of what is being done.

Did a great job on the stucco. He charged high for his cleaning service but did a great job.

Ken came out to do the estimate as well as bring us samples of what the countertops would look like when finished. The job is still ongoing but is nearing completion. His guys seem to be hard workers and Ken has been here everyday as well himself. After our previous contractor experience that was nice to see. They are very courteous and have been here as promised each day. They spent time when finished cleaning the whole affected area with great detail -- that is even more appreciated as we have a 3 month old baby in the house. When we had complaints about the counters they were reworked to our satisfaction.

I had the exterior or our home powerwashed to remove the mold buildup (first in 4 years). The only issue I had with the services was the white residue left on some of the windows, but Ken told us that should wash away with rain (or we hose it down). Also, it looks like a section of the home was missed since the mold buildup is still very much visible (as supposed to the cleaned sections). Am sure Ken will come by to clean the rest asap. Otherwise, the job was done well and I would recommend the service.
