Miquel was very responsive, reasonably priced and did a very great job. I would recommend him for other jobs.

This is a difficult review for me to write because we loved working with Miguel on many previous projects, and have referred him to many other people. He and his workers are capable of doing just about everything and are very skilled. Unfortunately, on this last job he did for us we had a very different and unpleasant experience. Here are the good points of working with Miguel. When he shows up, he goes the extra mile and the work he does is great. He wants things done right and so that is what he usually does. We recently used him on a large job. It started out well but then things started to go awry. Miguel was rarely at the job site and so his workers made some costly mistakes (due to lack of direction) that needed to be redone with the labor cost on our dime. His communication skills and time management were severely lacking which led to great frustration. There were many times he would not return calls and texts, and so my husband was forced into the contractor position of directing Miguel people. On this last project we agreed with Miguel that we would make sure we helped get supplies as needed (so he could spend more time at the job site instead of running around)- all he had to do was give us enough warning and we would take care of it. Instead, he would text us at the last minute saying he needed something which was not always easy to do. In the past Miguel*s prices are always more than fair, however on this job he came in at about 60% over budget (partly due to the costly mistakes, partly due to expanded job work that he initiated, and partly due to him taking longer because he wanted to make sure things were done at the highest quality). In the end he left without discussing what was still outstanding and pulled his people from the job. Additionally, he used our sheds to store work materials but also his personal stash of old paints, grout etc which he left for us to dispose of. After three trips to the hazardous waste center that is finished with but we have to now hire someone to haul out all of the construction materials. Also, something that should be noted here is that he has a difficult time dealing with women in a position of authority. He would snap at me when asked a question via text. To avoid this, I would text using my husband's phone and Miguel would quickly respond in a respectful manner. Nobody likes to be dealt with in a dismissive way, especially when you are paying them to do a job. The end result is that he left the job about 85% done although he was over paid for the entire job. There is electrical, painting, landscaping and other odds and ends that still need to be completed. To make matters worse he never showed up on the last day and instead sent one of his workers to pick up his tools. When my husband talked with his worker about taking all of the trash and paints ( that were Miguel), he was told that Miguel instructed him not to take them. Since moving into our home, we have discovered some really large parts of the job that were either not done (even though we were told they were, or they were done incorrectly). For example-we have had to pay $7000 to another company to fix/redo the bracing under the home, because he did not do it right and did not finish it). We reached out to Miguel via text and email notifying him of this and giving him the opportunity to make it right. We never heard back from him. We are not sure what happened with Miguel on this project but after this, we would not recommend him and will be taking him to small claims court to recoup the money we paid for completing a job he did not complete. I would caution anyone against using him. Update: We took Miguel to Small Claims Court and won the case.

On time for appointment, pleasant, hard worker, knows what to do, professional, very reasonable price. I will call him for any & all business in the future.

He noticed more spots that needed paint then I did. Great job on the many other little things, even took some ewaste away for me. He will be coming back for other 'honey do list' items - I am a widow I now need help, as in no ladders,etc. Can not go wrong hiring him and he charges are very fair.

He provided a prompt reply to my inquiry, was responsive to any questions I had, and he also was open to correcting anything I saw that was not to my satisfaction, standing behind his work. This all was done at a great price, giving me great value for the money.

I hired Miranda Remodeling for two separate,full, multi-room home remodel projects at two different locations. Both projects were done professionally, with prompt and timely services. They provided great attention to the details, and were willing to go above and beyond what I envisioned. They also were very accommodating to our tight schedule. I will use Miranda again for future home remodeling.

He did a really good job for me. He is very easy to work with and he doesn't mind asking questions when he's not sure about something. He is interested in doing what you need to have done. He does quality work!
