This is difficult for me to write because I really liked Victor Miranda and his wife, Sally when I first met them. I hired MHR to insulate and drywall 2 floors of my home. I was told it would take 5 days, it took 3.5 months. Numerous no shows, late arrivals and usually only a 3 hour work day. I begged for advance notice of when Victor would actually arrive but rarely got it. Instead of doing all the insulation then all the drywall, Victor would work a bit here and there. The insulation work was sloppy with many holes and whole areas uninsulated and drywalled over. A total of at least NINE light fixtures and electric outlets were covered with drywall. We suspect that there is still one overhead light that was covered. Each time I pointed it out to Victor he would just say "Oh, I can fix that." Never an apology or smidgen of professional embarrassment. Nothing was ever done to clean up or mitigate the spread of drywall dust even though I supplied drop cloths. This was awful as we had to live in the house while it was under renovation. I had asked for mildew resistant drywall for the entire bathroom and when I pointed that this wasn't being done out to Victor he just got annoyed and argued about it not being usual. The inspector suggested that the next time (LOL) I have drywall done to use all mildew resistant drywall since our home is surrounded by redwood trees. He mudded over screws before the inspection. He put insulation that was too thin in the ceiling of one whole floor. The icing on the cake was when I went to install outlet covers and with plate covers after the electrical was done: More that half the outlet and switch holes were too big to be covered by standard covers, which I had already bought. I then bought midway sized covers and even some of these would cover the sloppy holes. We are saving our money up now to have all of these repaired. At the beginning of the job I requested a materials list so I could order and pay for materials separately or at least receipts that I could pay for as the work progressed. This never happened. Sally showed up just before the job was over and demanded immediate full payment and finally handed me the receipts. I had already paid the agreed upon 2/3 payments (with final payment at job completion). When I told Sally that I need a day or 2 to go over the receipts she snatched them back and threatened to take Victor off of the job. My boyfriend went ahead a paid her in full and then the job was never finished. Seams visible everywhere. One day Victor shows up with old drywall and tells me that it's worth $500 but that I can have it for $250. I looked up the cost at Home Depot and found out that it would have been $185 brand new. When I pointed out to Victor that his math was off he then said I could have it for $200. I strongly suspect that we were charged for all the materials that Victor bought by mistake. When Victor left for the last time he even took a roll of paper I had provided that he never used. I think Victor threw our job under the bus to attend to all the other smaller jobs he overbooked. Many of the good reviews he has on Home Advisor were posted while he was suppose to be working at our house. Other than spotty insulation and oversized outlet holes, the drywall on the top floor was finished nicely. The middle floor really should be redone but we can't afford it.

They did pretty good work but unfortunately they never came back to pick up the 10 contractor size garbage bags of debris, and left a bunch of other garbage & debris for us to clean up as well. We did specifically discuss when they're come back to clean up, both in person and by text message, and they never showed up when they said they would So I can't recommended them at all.

Very good job of patching drywall holes from lighting installation. Great job of preparing the job site to avoid damage to floors and avoid dust and paint splatters in the kitchen and breakfast. Arrived exactly on time, did their work productively and were responsive and courteous all the time.
