In April 2025, Misitia Installations was hired to install new Mullican engineered wood on 3 stained concrete floors in my home. He did not follow Mullican's installation instructions. He didn't remove concrete sealer prior to the new installation. He didn't perform a moisture testing before the flooring was installed. He didn't use a vapor retarder to cover the concrete. The concrete subfloor did not meet required flatness tolerances for engineered wood flooring. In November 2025, the floor boards began to move and rise. I immediately reported the issue to him. He eventually investigated the problem, removing the quarter rounders and leaving them on the floor, stating that he would return when he could borrow a moisture meter to check the moisture level, but he never did. All 3 rooms were inadequately installed & must be replaced. He has refused to reimburse me for his shoddy work. He was referred to me by Byrd & Cook. He is not licensed or bonded and can not be trusted.
