The guy that came out was super patient and knew his craft very well, took care of all my issues I had. Explained every thing too me so I understood . I would hire him again (Ray Camacho) The problem I have is I put a $530.00 deposit down and still have not got it back after canceling the job, and had to call the office repeatedly to get e-mail receipt of the work he did.

(there was no category for lighting repair which is what I was looking for) Per HomeAdvisor, I would receive a free estimate for my repair. What I got was a free quote (the moment they walked in the door) for their standard fee to try to find the problem. I have a track light that stopped working a while back. The electrician (who was very polite btw and fairly knowledgeable) checked the switch, then went into the attic crawlspace and checked the transformer, and finally checked for current at the fixture. Took about one hour, the charge was $330 and the light still does not work. Apparently, the track itself is defective. But really should not have taken more than 10 minutes - if he had just tested at the track first he would have known the switch and the transformer were both working fine. So instead of $330 per hour, the company would be making over $1800 per hour (ok, not including travel costs...). I am done with HomeAdvisor. Out of five contractors that they have sent, only one of them is someone that I would call again. 20% odds... I can do better on my own.

5 stars for the electrician who came out to change out the light fixture. He was professional, on time, and quick. Where the stars were lost was the customer service over the phone. I was double charged, which happens, so I called in and the billing department is not available on weekends, they claim to have left an email, and I was told to call back afternoon on Monday if I did not hear back. I ended up calling Monday, was transferred into voicemail, didn not hear back, and had to call again. I called back, the billing department was in a "meeting" and a guy named "Miles" took a message and said I should hear back by the end of the day. At the end of the day and I had to call back, just to find out "Miles" was a made up name... Spoke to another guy who said he was new and they were going to have the owner of the company call me that night to take care of this, and nothing... For the value, I subtracted 3 stars, 1 for the frustration, 1 for being lied to, and 1 for wasting 4 days going back and forth and getting nothing accomplished. I ended up calling my credit card company and got it all figured out. If you hire them, I would recommend paying with CASH.

I believe it is this companys policy to give a high and low price range. I don't know if it is a bait and switch situation. I paid the highest price and felt a little bit taken. I liked the electrician however. Somehow don't feel this is the way he would operate if he were on his own. He was on very punctual. Received advance notice of the visit. Some of this is probably my fault for not knowing anything about electical issues.

I contracted Mr. Sparky to have a 220VAC sub panel for a future spa with a 30amp 110VAC plug for an RV shore power. The RV plug was wired with 220VAC and caused damage to several systems in the RV which was plugged into it. Mr. Sparky's Mike Domz secured a reimbursement for the repairs to my RV. Except for the wiring error, the work, service, and experience actually were great. Even the call back to correct the wiring error was quick. They want a satisfied customer and worked to make sure that was true. That's where many contractors fall short. Not this one."
