"We worked for this customer for three months after promising and telling us that we were chosen to do this kitchen remodel. After back and forth to his house, meetings, examples of products, he could not make up his mind. I did not feel he was serious as he kept asking for new designs, new products and more meetings. I told him that we were not interested in continuing as the costs were mounting and I had another kitchen to start. He once again promised and signed the contract that we had the project. We lost the other customer job to do Emmanuel's. We, Mitsi Builders, Inc., did over 12 designs, bringing cabinet doors, doing presentations and many ideas, many trips back and forth and was asked to set up appointments with suppliers, then he chose to go with another cabinet supplier which we agreed. Then we were asked to go to the kitchen cabinet supplier to give them the design and work with them to make sure the cabinets would work. We complied and spent 3 hours working with his supplier to make sure all was good. After all that work and running around we were told the changed their mind and are not doing the project. I sent him an invoice for a minimum charge as the charges were well over our charge and then sent him back the balance."
"Ms, Field, We had a contract with all the terms and work that was supposed to be included. The terms were vert clear and understood. We both signed the contract and wee did all the work as it was stated on it. I am sorry that we could not do extra work for you that was NOT on the contract, yet you insisted because you gave us the job. We go beyond our contract to help customers with other little tasks but it has to come a point, as stated in our contract that work beyond the Scope Of Work, we would charge extra."
"We were blind sided by your review. All the way to towards the end, we were praised and had developed a great relationship. On a weekly basis we had something new added to the original project and I made sure you were updated, adding that the the project was getting out of hand with elaborate requests and the total was climbing. We fought through weather, material delays but stayed with the project to make it something you can be proud of. As we have with all our projects, our contract spells out our terms of engagement and payments as we move from phase to phase of the project. For some reason those terms were not acceptable. I am sorry for that and wish you a joyous future."
