Although the movers arrived (unavoidably) late, they added extra workers to make up for the loss of time and did a good job. I will use Moda again.

An 8-10 am dispatch time turned into 3:30 pm arrival.

workers worked hard, however, the truck was not big enough for entire load and it took them 1 1/2 hrs longer than they anticipated, costing about $400 more than estimated

nice staff. be sure to get the quote in writing and exactly what work it includes. Over the phone quotes are estimates....not actual cost. Ensure the 'job' is seen.

We also have been trying as of late to visit any job that may need a visual estimate in order to provide a more accurate estimate as estimates over the phone without seeing any of the items can prove difficult. I had discussed over the phone what services I would need, but they showed up without boxes, no padding. They couldn't move my tv, no tv box. They couldn't move piano, not equipped with blankets or padding. They told me it was unsafe for them to be in the home because I had things out of place to be packed. Had things in one room to be junked but they didn't have to deal with that room. I wasn't getting was I was expecting. In addition, there were no wardrobe boxes. I expected Veterans, they say they are Veteran owned but these were not Veterans that came here. I didn't' feel comfortable with them moving my piano. They didn't' have the things I needed to pack my antiques. I'm an artist and I requested boxes for my artwork and sketch pads, they didn't have those either. When I called the company, they never called me back and the one time they called me, when I answered the phone, they hung up. I called back, left a message and I haven't' heard back since this past Friday.

They send movers who don't seem to be very professional and did damage some of our items.

Customer service was excellent. Movers were great. Just wish they had explained the fees a little better up front. Overall, I would hire them again.

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

  8. Liens Search
    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
