workers worked hard, however, the truck was not big enough for entire load and it took them 1 1/2 hrs longer than they anticipated, costing about $400 more than estimated

nice staff. be sure to get the quote in writing and exactly what work it includes. Over the phone quotes are estimates....not actual cost. Ensure the 'job' is seen.

I had discussed over the phone what services I would need, but they showed up without boxes, no padding. They couldn't move my tv, no tv box. They couldn't move piano, not equipped with blankets or padding. They told me it was unsafe for them to be in the home because I had things out of place to be packed. Had things in one room to be junked but they didn't have to deal with that room. I wasn't getting was I was expecting. In addition, there were no wardrobe boxes. I expected Veterans, they say they are Veteran owned but these were not Veterans that came here. I didn't' feel comfortable with them moving my piano. They didn't' have the things I needed to pack my antiques. I'm an artist and I requested boxes for my artwork and sketch pads, they didn't have those either. When I called the company, they never called me back and the one time they called me, when I answered the phone, they hung up. I called back, left a message and I haven't' heard back since this past Friday.

They send movers who don't seem to be very professional and did damage some of our items.

Customer service was excellent. Movers were great. Just wish they had explained the fees a little better up front. Overall, I would hire them again.

The moves arrived right on time They were professional and efficient. They completed the unloading in around 2 hours. It's not the fault of Moda, but I was charged for 3 hours minimum for 2 hours of work.

Watch out for their cost for boxes very high! The guys who did the moving were great, friendly and professional. Worked fast. Worth the $120.00 hr for two men and the truck.

Moda Moving provided the most horrible move I have ever experienced. My things were thrown around, even when carefully marked "Fragile ". Heavy boxes of books were also put on top of fragile boxes. Upon arrival at the new house, these fragile boxes were literally dropped on the stone tiled floor. Needless to say, when I opened them up, much of my collectible china was smashed to pieces. They also broke a statue from the 1880s, which they were verbally told was extremely fragile and irreplaceable. After unpacking a small amount of boxes in the kitchen and living room (a lot of which were labeled as belong in the bedrooms upstairs), the movers informed me that they had to stay on schedule and quickly unpacked the majority of boxes into the garage. Again, heavy boxes were put on top of lightweight boxes, causing many of the lighter boxes to buckle inwards. Absolutely none of the boxes (many containing heavy books) were carried upstairs or downstairs, despite all the boxes being clearly marked as to which rooms they belonged to. The fact that the house had multiple levels was one of the reasons we hired movers, and the salesman was clearly told so. In short, I could never recommend these movers to anyone. I would gladly have given them zero stars, if that had been an option. Their price was cheaper than the other movers. Unfortunately, I found out why.

  1. Verify Trade License
HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license.
  2. Verify Insurance
As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services.

  5. Sex Offender Search
We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located.
  6. Bankruptcy Search
We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them.
  7. Legal Search for Civil Judgments
We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.
  8. Liens Search
We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.
  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
