Charles told me that my 7-year-old AC unit needed to be replaced. The advice that he tried to run with was exactly what I read about online. When I said I would not be paying for a new AC unit, he said another option would be to add more Freon. I agreed to do this for $300. He said he would give me extra Freon, even though I did not ask for that. He left my house and my AC unit began clicking on and off repeatedly. I called him back to fix the problem. He returned the next day and said there was too much Freon in the unit. He released the Freon into the air, spewing oil all over my AC unit and ground. A few months later, my AC unit began clicking on and off again. I hired another AC company to come out and they said the unit had been overcharged with Freon. The company released more Freon by placing the extra Freon into a tank, and I was told my AC unit was working as it should and needed no repair.

He's a refreshing change from the "as seen on TV" guys who constantly upsell, and find problems just to generate a bigger ticket. I'm amazed by his diligence and knowledge of A/C systems. Met me at 9AM, and even though he had to go to another job appt, he was there when I got home at 7PM, to explain what he had done, and what he recommended. He really tried to save the existing equipment, but 17 years of hot Texas summers finally did my old system in. So we saved the inside unit in the attic, and are replacing the outside unit with a much more efficient system. Prices were very competitive, and none of the hidden charges.
