I was very excited to find a professional that would respond to me so quickly. The communication with Modern Edge Construction was excellent. The work that was done was excellent, everything I asked for. There was a little issue with scheduling but I was very happy with the end result. Cade was polite, respectful, helpful, neat, and professional.

We hired Modern Edge Construction in July 2025 for a full-gut renovation of our 1895 home, completed February 2026. What began with promise devolved into chronic delays, erratic attendance, and substandard workmanship once the owner assumed finishing duties. Completion dates were repeatedly misrepresented while we incurred months of additional living expenses as well. Despite spending $155,000, we are withholding the final payment due to extensive, unresolved defects: miscut and poorly stained trim, cracked tile, gouged countertops and flooring, improper stair assembly, defective shower door installation, unfinished drywall mud, buckling floors, and pervasive cosmetic negligence. When concerns were raised, we were met not with accountability but invoices, evasiveness regarding material costs, and unprofessional, manipulative correspondence?including threats. We have many more pictures and videos. We paid for professional craftsmanship, but we received an eight-month DIY job.

We had Cade fix an underground water pipe issue for a commercial property. His communication was prompt, and he was able to get us in his schedule within a week of reaching out for a quote. work was completed within the day despite some issues they ran into with their equipment. the cement patch he used has not set after a week of curing time, so we plan on re-patching the small hole that was necessary to the job (will be an easy fix, but im not sure what he used to fill) . This is the only reason this is a 4 star review rather than a 5. overall, we are very pleased with the work and prompt communication.

After trying for 2 days, calling every insulation specialist and contractor in cedar rapids on Google. No one would reply or help with the insulation for my mobile home saying the job is not worth it. Finally after going on Angi I found cade. He went out of his way to come fix my insulation Underneath my mobile home. He came the same day after normal business hours to fix my damages at night time. Cause he was worried about my pipes freezing that night. He was very polite and professional. I would highly recommend cade. I will also be calling him in the future if I have any more problems.

Cade was quick to respond to my posting and finished the job within a week. He was polite, responsive and a professional. He trimmed out two windows and installed baseboard in my lower level to my satisfaction. I highly recommend him and will absolutely hire him again!

Very easy to work with! We opted to do some of the demo and finish work ourselves for budget reasons, but we are very pleased with the workmanship overall.

Responded promptly to my request. Assured me that he would get my job done right. My previous contractor messed things up and he was able to fix my problem. In and out same day. Would definitely recommend for work that needs to be done.

Epoxy was put on our garage floor for coating. When it gets wet it is slippery. Had a couple of times falling because it was wet from rain or snow. Epoxy should have never been put on a garage floor. I would not use this company anymore.
