Stay firm with Mr Kim on his install dates if you are a small job. Concrete work for the rails install was messy with extra concrete as it was just thrown on top of soil near my bushes. Should throw into a tarp and then discard

James Kim and Modern Iron Works did a fantastic job on installing a metal rail-and-cable stair case. The finished product has impressed my designer, broker, and prospective buyers. Amazing work done on my smashed wrought-iron fence. The motorized driveway gate that was installed looks great and works even better. Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Great job from a great crew of workers. Work goes quickly because of good management. Owners stay on top of things. All requests, even minor ones, are met to one's satisfaction. This contractor returned my calls. I called 2 other iron works companies, and one never called me back, and the other one took two weeks to return my call...by the time they did, modern iron works had already completed the job. They did exactly what I asked, got the job completed quickly and the price was fair.

Crew was good but owner was quite inconsistent with communication.

We are very pleased with our deck railing. Modern Iron Works did a great job manufacturing and installing them. There were some delays with this job both on our part and on theirs but James Kim was consistently responsive to our phone calls, so we always knew what the status of things were. I highly recommend them. In fact, we are going to use them again for another project.

Hired and used Modern Iron Works, am very content, am a licensed general contractor work with numerous contractors, and they are extremely competent and better than could have imagined. They were absolutely great. Schedule changes were accommadated. His mechanics fulfilled every requirement, they're great.
